Luz y balcones junto a la Giralda

Spacious apartment in awesome narrow lane way close to Cathedral and Royal Palace (which was booked out a month in advance so couldn’t get in anyway). Facilities ok but would be better if a coffee machine was provided! Not the most comfortable bed but ok and bathroom good. Note that you can’t drive into or get a taxi from the laneway as it is too skinny for vehicles, so we booked an Uber with pickup from a hotel in the plaza at the end of the laneway which was fine. There is a small lift in the building. Tip-for flamenco- don’t bother with the free show in the bar La Carbonería (waste of time as others cruise in at the last second and block your view) but highly recommended is the much closer Casa de la Guitarra-great price (15 euros) and venue with fantastic musicians/dancer.

Location is great, flat is comfortable and nice

Clean and had everything you need. Easy to het to tourist places.

Street can get noisy

Fantastic location close to the Giralda, very quiet pedestrian street, top floor location (with lift!) with access to a secluded and sunny patio area for breakfast al fresco (we found patio table and chairs in the wardrobe), spacious lounge/diner with two full size sofas and a basic kitchenette which suited our needs (we didn't cook any meals). The patio got the morning sun and the windows overlooking the street got the afternoon sun. We didnt use the aircon as it never got too hot at night and opening the patio door and the windows created a nice cross-breeze in the daytime.

Kitchenette could do with a cosmetic upgrade; only 4 cups and very little cutlery - there were only two of us, but even so! Bed not great, one of those mattresses where you roll together even if you don’t want to, and the bed was only a standard double (we are both small and slim so it didnt really affect us too much). The owner could do with employing a handyman for a few hours to fix a few things, but we liked the slightly old fashioned feel of the place and we loved the ambience and plan to stay there again. Note that despite the lift this apartment is not wheelchair accessible as there are steps in the lobby on both ground and top floor. The shower is in the bath tub, which could also be an issue for those with reduced mobility.

Central location yet nice and quiet.

That I had confirmed earlier occupation at 14.00 yet they expected me for 15.00 so apartment not ready.

The location of the apartment is fantastic as it's just a couple of mins walk to the cathedral and there are restaurants and cafes/bars but it is quiet at night as it's a pedestrian street. You can walk to most places. Taxi rank by the cathedral is handy. The apartment is good, it could do with a little TLC in the bathroom and kitchen but really it doesn't affect your stay. Lots of books you can read as you see in the photos. Good WiFi. The agent, May, who met me was very helpful and friendly.

I would have liked to be able to watch international TV channels or Netflix but there is only Spanish TV. If you're a solo traveller like me, it would be great. A pair of scissors in the kitchen would have been helpful.

The place was comfortable. It was centrally located to all the historic sites.

The bed was small for 2 people. The blankets and towels were old and need to be updated.
