Op half uur wandelen van het centrum. Gratis parkeerplaats. Vriendelijk personeel (maar niet altijd aanwezig)

Echt wel een oubollig en versleten hotel. Alles kraakte, schimmel in de badkamer, gordijnen waren aan het rafelen, al jaren niet meer herschilderd, Veel lawaai (geen dubbel glas, dunne deuren en vloeren, dus geen isolatie). Ook het gevoel dat het vooral voor een Chinees publiek is voorzien (andere gasten, aanduidingen, personeel, Chinees restaurant beneden). Ook de prijs vond ik aan de hoge kant (280 euro voor 2 kamers 1 nacht, het meeste dat ik die vakantie heb betaald voor al onze huisjes)

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The private carpark was a great help, even if a little small. The on-site restaurant (Chinese) was small but excellent food on the first night. For an older building it was well maintained. Good location.

Being an older couple the walk upstairs to the room was a challenge, but staff at reception carried our bags for us. We were informed that we might have been able to book a ground floor room had we asked. (Our fault, we didn't)

It's a good place to stay for some nights. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Clean and tidy.

Bed mattress could have been a bit better. Room service did not show up during my entire stay (5 days).

Location is pretty central

Parking situation was unclear, I paid 2 pounds to park in a car park nearby before the staff told me where the hotel car park was round the back - not clear that it wasn't round the front where two guys were chain smoking with the engine running for 2 hours as far as I could tell. Was asked for ID on arrival which I've never had to do before (I stay in hotels weekly). No dinner/breakfast options despite it being a restaurant. This was not clear at time of booking. When I arrived they suggested I eat pizza for breakfast at an Italian restaurant over the road. The room was tiny, cracked walls and a dirty bathroom/carpet. To be honest there wasn't anything I liked about the stay at all. I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to write something this time. 120gbp per night is probably about triple what I would be happy to pay for this place if I was to stay again. I saw a review on Google while I was in the room suggesting this place was like Fawlty Towers, honestly that isn't far off except nothing funny happened.

I thanked the staff for their attentiveness and approach. I liked it. The location was good. It takes around 15 minutes to get to Cambridge city centre by bus.

The room was not practical; the lack of a small minibar was a major drawback. There was no air conditioning, and the existing fan was old and noisy.

No AC, bed very hard, place a bit run-down, no staff there a lot of the time. Shower was broken so had to use the one next door in a room that had not been cleaned yet. No secure place to leave luggage after checkout. Staff were pleasant and friendly and tried to be helpful with the shower situation.
