The Cabot Lodge

Quiet. Near the theater and restaurants, coffee shops, bookstore.

It was small, compact.

Rooms are petite as they state, but they are well appointed and very comfortable. Rooms and hotel are very clean, beds comfortable, with coffee, tea water available in the lounge. Small refrigerator is available as well. I’ve already booked another visit. Really a great hotel.

We stayed at The Cabot Lodge two weeks ago as we were attending a concert at The Cabot. The central location so close to multiple restaurant options and literally being less than a 5 minute walk to the venue was great and meant once we parked we never needed to drive again until we left. But, even better than that was our room. We stayed in a King loft room. In our room’s little footprint we had everything we could have wanted and more. With the high ceiling it had a such a nice airy feel. It was designed and decorated with a colorful modern flair and it was meticulously clean. The shower was big and beautiful with great products, and the bed was super cozy with such plush bedding that we actually took an afternoon nap before the show. I haven’t taken an afternoon nap in years. This place is truly a boutique hotel and far surpassed our expectations. We didn’t want to leave but we will definitely be going back. Thank you!

We loved the room and location. Also, the common area was a nice bonus with the fridge, freezer, and coffee. The staff was very welcoming and helpful!

A bench or chair in the room would have been helpful.

They made our stay AMAZING, offering some excellent dining and activity recommendations that were all SPOT ON! Absolutely the best place I could imagine staying in this cute small town. Please don't tell anyone, though. I don't want the place to be full next time I want to return. 😀

Not a corporately owned hotel, this is a family-owned enterprise where guests enjoy accommodations presented with panache, and see in every detail there the genuine affection of the owners for their appreciated guests. It is in their devoted attention to detail details that the managers of this family-owned business show in broad strokes their genuine and caring concern for their guests’ comfort and security, the managers’ determination to provide those guests with the ambience of a home away from home, and the managers’ willingness to do anything needed in order to reassure their guests that someone will be at hand and in person at any time night or day if help us needed. The managers have thought of everything in presenting the rooms with creative embellishments (e.g., valentines on the doors during that weekend, historical images related to the history of the community, helpful reading lights, towels set out in the shape of flowers). Housekeepers deliver the rooms in perfect order, and with very good linens and towels. As someone who has owned a similar enterprise for most of five decades, I can say authoritatively that this family works very hard. They deserve the success they have achieved there. Their guests will not be disappointed in any way.
