I would not stay here again and do not recommend it. Unresponsive, unhelpful Host before I arrived and after I left - didn't reply to messages, e.g. the best way to arrive on public transport Area around hotel very dirty - one hut at the entrance is full of garbage, plastic bottles etc On public transport, it isn't that easy to get around even once you arrive in the centre of Tulúm - better to have a car or share a taxi Hotel is on a very busy main road - so many freight trucks going by, and work men coming to eat. The hotel itself seems unfinished in its construction- beyond the pool and baños, there is nothing Unfriendly staff in the restaurant (except 1 guy) and locals who stay there were borderline hostile. This makes for an intimidating atmosphere I was charged double the price of a drink one night.. I felt uncomfortable and not welcome. Loud music plays ALL day - 7.30am until 11pm. Feels like a party hostel. People around the pool also using speakers to play loud music. Small things: lighting v bright in room and bathroom, could do with a bedside lamp and more clothing hangers. These reasons made me leave early and ask for refund from Booking.com

Nicely located for Tulum, apartment (No.6) was clean spacious and the bed very big and comfortable fully enclosed with mosquito net. Good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Breakfast consisted, a coffee, fruit bowl with yogurt and muesli and four tiny pieces of toast frozen butter and jam. Hammocks & nice pool. It has a restaurant (limited menu) and bar. All ok - good for a couple of nights - wouldn't want to stay longer.

Like alot of hotels quite noisy, dogs, traffic people being inconsiderate, not as bad as some but definitely there. WIFI very very weak

Great place to stay, well located on the main road leading to Tulum (and quite close to Tulum and Coba - by car). The property is really nice and well looked after, rooms are very spacious, and the staff is friendly. Excellent value.

I cancelled my second night online but not sure I got credit. No response from booking.com. There was only a tiny garafon of water. I had to go out and buy drinking water

the property is very beautiful. the pool is nice and the room are big and clean.

The bed was very very uncomfortable, the sink in the bathroom stopped working, and if you flushed the toilet, it took 10 mins to refill the bowl. we also felt like the chef overcharged for dinner. we arrived very late and didn’t have a lot of options for dinner. I was really looking forward to staying at Aldea Balam but we ended up checking out after the first night because of our sheer disappointment of Hotel.
