Ecostay

Nika at reception was incredibly warm and welcoming and very keen to help especially with calling tuktuks to go into town etc. The atmosphere of Ecostay was fantastic - was a true tropical lush haven tucked away. Location from Alona main area was not ideal however the location to nearby areas was very very good for our short stay in Panglao!

Everything it was like a little tropical island ,lovely staff ,food great just perfect ..

There was nothing we didn't like ..

I appreciated the reception at the front desk, the consideration of my special requests, and the reservation of transport. I only stayed one night before my departure. The resort is close to the airport, close to the beaches, it is pleasant and clean. All the staff were very pleasant and attentive.

The aisle is not convenient for rolling luggage. It's better to bring bags to carry.

The AC is WAYYY too loud. The environment is generally very loud. The rooms are not well isolated you can hear everything and some geckos get into the rooms. The shower is very bad right next to the toilets. No shampoo bottle they give you tiny soap bricks it’s ridiculous. Bed is too hard.

An excellent hotel for its price. Great location, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and a supermarket nearby.

Un Oasis de verdure, de calme, de gentillesse...loin du bruit et de la pollution et de la foule d'Alona beach. Piscine petite mais à débordement et avec jacuzzi, massages, laverie, restaurant très agréable. Equipe aux petits soins. Bungalows individuels avec climatisation. Excellent rapport qualité prix !

The restaurant is highly over rated! I.M.O

The whole hotel looks nice and has a nice atmosphere. The location is good for Dumaluan (entrance fee), but for other beaches with free entrance you will need a scooter. The breakfast is not included, but there is a restaurant that is part of the hotel that serves okay breakfast with free coffee/tea.

Termite excrememt on the mattress and on the toilet paper.. Had to change room. The mattress is very thin and too old. It smells like in a very humid cave. The music of the restaurant starts at 6am. The employees have to sleep in an extremeley small room with bunkbeds. The entrance door lock wasn't fixed well and stopped working after one day so we couldn't get in.. Even after repairing it it was loose.The bathroom door had to be lifted in order to be able to close it. The sink is loose. The bed lamp works only if you move the cable correctly. The TV is difficult to turn on with two remotes and there is almost no channel that works. The floor in the bathroom is not inclined and the water stays. There is no mirror in the bathroom. The A/C in the room is too loud to keep on at night. They try to make additional money with everything. You have to pay 1 pesos to refill 1 glass of water. You need to have a lot of small coins in order to be able to use it. The dispenser works almost never.If you want to go somewhere else for a night and want to leave your bag in the hotel you have to pay 200pesos for 24hours and 50 pesos for every additional hour. For breakfast they tell ypu you get 10 discount sonce you sleep in the hotel, but they don't tell you that you have to add 5% taxes. The swimming pool is really small. The family huts don't have sunbeds, but also the others can not use them because the ground is inclined.
