Venue was absolutely beautiful, staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. It was my daughter's Matric dance and booked 40 Die Haas close to her venue to get done. The staff were extremely accommodating, allowed us to have additional people for makeup and photos, use different room for beautiful photos. 40 Die Laan was not just beautiful but made our stay so much easier. The overnight stay was so amazing to sleep on such comfortable beds with amazing quality linen. We appreciate the short stay, will definitely book in again for a more relaxed stay and enjoy the beautiful pool next time. Thank you to the staff and Dewald. Melanie

"An unfortunately very very bad choice"

Only liked location

I think that Booking.com needs to actually evaluate the properties physically/in person - not just by selected aesthetically pleasing photos. It felt as if we made the worst choice ever. The photos on the website looked amazing . Our unit was NOTHING like the website representation. We could not sit on two of the Malawi chairs as there was no proper cushion. There was at least approximately 15 metres or more of floor to ceiling glass windows and stackable doors in the lounge and dining area BUT no curtains. There were curtain rails but NO curtains. The floors are a cement screed with only 1 mat in an enormous space. Cold cold cold. I was told to heat the area with the air conditioner unit. The indoor fireplace was an empty hole with two bricks in it. If the owner doesn’t want someone to use the fireplace then at least make it a bit more presentable with some type of decorative arrangement, feature in it? A picture was missing from a wall. Just the mail was left. The shower was a small glass cubicle with NO soap or shampoo etc holder. Soap etc was placed on the shower floor! Look at the shower photos on the website! See the difference….
