Beautiful views. Clean, large comfortable rooms

Fabulous location close to hikes with views. Evening meal at restaurant excellent, as was breakfast. Cost for 1 night was very reasonable (small room with no view).

We had the small room which was fine for one night and our needs. Shower was an extension from the sink so not a full overhead fixed shower.

Très bon petit déjeuner. Restaurant sur place, avec menu de qualité, modifié chaque jour.

Chambre un peu exigué, correspondait au vocable "petite chambre".

The setting and the town of Gjogv are the stars, of course. The Guesthouse itself is very nice and situated a bit above town with great views of the town and sea beyond. The restaurant is another star. The food is top quality, the preparation and presentation inventive and flavorful and the staff very attentive - all pleasantly unexpected for me at such an out of the way location. At dinner one night I mentioned to the waiter I had an early ferry out the next morning and asked if I could take some potatoes I hadn’t eaten since I had to leave before breakfast would be served. He not only gave me those but added more to it along with the delicious gravy that accompanied the fish that night. It was a generous gesture that I appreciate very much.

This isn’t as much a dislike as something to note: While comfortable and clean, the rooms (at least the one I had) are very basic. The shower was in a small corner of the small bathroom. I was fine with this but if you’re expecting spacious and well-appointed rooms you’ll be disappointed. When I arrived there was no one in the reception area. There was a note on the entry that said the restaurant wouldn’t open till 6PM but nothing saying the reception area would be vacant. I had to wait for about 30 minutes until someone showed up to check me in. She was very kind and attentive when she showed up but it would have been nice if there was note explaining when someone would be there or how to contact someone to check me in.
