The Piccolo at Paso Robles Inn

The hotel was nice enough. The Continental breakfast was adequate and at times there was not enough food out and people had to wait for it to come out. The room cleaning was spotty at best, missing towels had to ask a few times & still didn't get them. Had to go down to the desk to ask for them. Even with a nice tip in the room everyday. The last two days there was no cleaning service at all. The patio areas were not cleaned from previous guests. We reported it and it was only cleaned partially. It was what we saw when we stepped out of our room. So not very pleasant. The next day there was more trash on the patio and not cleaned again. For the price and the illusion of the brand, we did except a little more from the staff.

Very friendly staff and great walkable location.

We checked in at 6 pm and they only had 2 rooms left,courtyard tends to be loud in the early evening.

Modern Hotel in excellent location DT Paso Robles. Free valet parking! Very friendly staff and small but free breakfast buffet.

Worst hotel reservation experience EVER!!! I booked this hotel for my husband's birthday. We were planning a birthday trip to Paso Robles. I had made reservations many other reservations for our stay in Paso Robles along with our hotel reservation. The night before our check in the hotel cancelled our reservation with no notice from anyone from the hotel. I never cancelled my reservation so when I got this text I was very confused. I also did not get a call nor voicemail from the hotel letting me know they had cancelled my reservation. I called the hotel multiple times to try to get answers and no one at the front desk knew what had happened with my reservation. They told me they suspected the situation with the fires in San Luis Obispo may have resulted in them cancelling my reservation but this was not confirmed from anyone I spoke with. I also had not received a refund for my reservation. The hotel had cancelled my reservation on their end but I made my reservation via Expedia and that had not been canceled so there was still a full charge on my credit card for my stay. The front desk staff could not help me because they could not get a hold of the supervisor at the hotel. They told me a supervisor would be reaching out to me to explain what happened with my reservation but this never happened. When I later called the hotel back to reach the supervisor they let me know she had already left for the day. I then reached out to Expedia to explain to them that the hotel had abruptly cancelled my reservation with no explanation to me. At first Expedia told me they would have to charge me a $500 cancellation fee but they called the hotel to verify what happened with my reservation. It was a complete sh!t show trying to fix the mess on my end on the night of my husband's birthday as I had to deal with cancelling all the other reservations I had made in Paso Robles. I wrote the manager from the Piccolo an email that night and she wrote back lying to me saying she had called Expedia asking them to relocate me. Expedia had no such conversation on their end. The Piccolo could have done so many things to amend the situation but they failed everytime. It has been an awful experience with the Piccolo. I will never stay here in the future. They have no disregard for peoples plans nor reservations and are dishonest.

Great place. Room was spacious, breakfast included was wonderful, throughly enjoyed the rooftop bar, it’s a must see.

The Piccolo was beautiful, very clean, and within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. The staff made us feel welcome and even booked us lunch at a winery and dinner at Thomas Hill Organics.
