"Tree Frogs = Best Vacation"

10.0

We had the absolute best family vacation in Costa Rica! Staying in the jungle with our family of 4 was an unforgettable experience. What truly made the trip extra special was Greivin. He took incredible care of us from the moment we arrived and genuinely made our trip to Costa Rica. Our kids absolutely loved him, and he went above and beyond to create memorable experiences for our family. multiple evenings he even took us searching for tree frogs and sloths, which became one of the highlights of our entire trip. His kindness, knowledge of wildlife, and enthusiasm made every day feel special. This vacation created memories our family will cherish forever, and Greivin played such a huge part in that. We cannot thank him enough for making our stay so meaningful and magical!

"Luxury in the rainforest"

10.0

From the moment we arrived, we experienced incredible customer service. It is very obvious that the customer experience is highly emphasized by management and the staff is trained for this. From the drivers who transported us to and from Nayara, to the greeters in the Welcome Center, to Mel in the Reception Center as she greeted us with a smile and offered a cooling cocktail/mocktail and the option of a condensed or expanded explanation of our stay…it did not disappoint. The room and view was amazing, the bed was comfortable, the special anniversary celebration gifts that awaited us in our room…it was all wonderful. The food and cocktails at each of the four restaurants we ate at was delicious; all with a variety of options. The grounds were kept up so well….our first time experiencing the rain forest did not disappoint. I would say the highlight of our stay came the last evening we were there. We had been hoping for a sloth sighting and just hadn’t seen one in the daylight. We weren’t able to join the sloth tour as we were soaking in the six hot springs at that time. As we walked around the resort, looking up in the trees, we saw Carlos (Charlie) driving a cart. We told him we hadn’t seen one in the daylight and really wanted to before we left. He looked us in the eye and said he would find one for us. In the meantime, Kevin picked us up in the golf cart and tried to find a sloth for us. We were about ready to give up, when Kevin got a call from Carlos and rushed us to him where we finally enjoyed a wonderful viewing of a sloth. I even got a great video to share with our family! We were touched by Carlos and Kevin’s desire to help us complete a bucket list activity before we left. The next morning we were up at 5am, with one last look over our plunge pool at Arenal. We enjoyed our last breakfast and had a seamless checkout. In regards to transportation, Hugo picked us up from Four Seasons Papagayo, and chose a route that exposed us to some beautiful scenery along the way, along with a stop for a traditional Casado for lunch. On our return to Liberia, Ron was our driver and was an incredible wealth of information. When he found out that we had not seen a Toucan on our trip, he decided he wanted to make that happen, and he did!!! He found a tree with at least five Toucans sitting in it and I was able to get some great photos. Carlos and Kevin, Hugo and Ron….four gentleman who displayed above and beyond personal care and attention during our stay at Nayara. To the management at Nayara, well done.

"Luxury Nature"

10.0

Nayara Tented Camp is truly a special place. It seamlessly blends luxury with nature, offering magical views of the volcano along with abundant wildlife and beautiful on-site hot springs. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely pampered. The only downside was the food—Asia Luna was a bit disappointing. Aside from that, the experience was exceptional. The staff and management went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Overall, this is our favorite hotel in the world.

"Amazing Trip to Tented Camp!"

10.0

We had such an amazing and awe-inspiring trip at Nayara Tented Camp. I went with my family and wife for 5 nights in April 2026 and was blown away by the Tented Camps. Nayara is strong in every aspect, but shines the most in its service and the property itself. The cost is high, but Tented Camp is certainly worth it. The property is stunning as other reviews and photos indicate, and Nayara's service is just on another level. From the front staff's welcoming drinks and towels to the carts whisking you away throughout the property, everything is anticipated and considered. The vast majority of the staff speaks excellent English and communication in-person and via WhatsApp was very easy. I had particularly excellent experiences with Fabricio Basabey, Ignacio (La Terraza kitchen), Alexander (La Terraza kitchen), Jose (Tented Camp breakfast), and Luis Angel (Amor Loco), but truly everyone was fabulous and ensured the best stay. Nayara made everything frictionless. They helped arranged airport pick-up/drop off along and coordinated our requested activities. Would recommend spending at least half of your time at the resort as there is SO much to see/do along with areas to relax. Given 5 individuals, we stayed at one of their Grand Tents. While the Grand Tent was amazing and allowed us to stay together as a group of 5, we would consider 2 requesting 2 tents close together in the future. The reason being that the Grand Tent had 1 luxurious suite with the 2nd suite being less nice (on the ground level below the primary suite, so was darker and not as beautiful). Maybe that structure is better suited to parents and their kids. Extremely clean with maid and turndown service daily. The only place where Tented Camp didn't excel was the food. I'd say their food was 7-7.5/10 overall, with the Amor Loco pre-fixe dinner being our favorite. It was all good-very good, but relatively overrated given the price. That being said, it was pretty good and allowed us to explore a variety of cuisines while staying at Nayara.

"Best spring break we’ve ever had"

10.0

My daughter and I stayed at Nayara Tented Camp for 4 nights in April 2026. During our stay we enjoyed breakfast each morning at Ayla where Lauren did an excellent job of offering suggestions on the menu. We also enjoyed talking with Brian a golf cart driver. He knew we wanted to see a sloth during our visit and went out of his way to make sure that happened for us. The staff over all is amazing and attentive and the tents are luxurious and comfortable.

"Truly Exceptional and family friendly. Can not wait to go back."

10.0

We visited Nayara Tented Camp as a family with three young kids, and our experience was nothing short of incredible. The level of attention to detail throughout our stay made it truly memorable. We had shared in advance that we were celebrating both our anniversary and my daughter’s birthday, and the team went above and beyond: sparkling grape juice was waiting for her, sparkling wine for us, and thoughtful amenities in both rooms. What impressed us most was how many staff members learned our names and preferences—from where we liked to sit to having the baby’s high chair ready—small touches that made a huge difference when traveling with young children. I especially appreciated being able to call ahead for breakfast to let them know what the kids wanted; their food would be waiting at the table by the time we arrived by golf cart, which made mornings so much smoother. I want to give a special shoutout to a few people who made our stay exceptional: Carolina Núñez meticulously coordinated countless details behind the scenes. Mayank Singh ensured we secured restaurant reservations at times that worked best for our family’s schedule and dietary needs. He also introduced us to Chef Pabi, who prepared phenomenal off-menu Indian dishes for us. This included a special meal for a fasting day tied to a religious holiday, as well as an incredible Indian vegetarian tasting menu that Mayank and Pabi created just for us. Every dish was flavorful, thoughtful, and tailored to our preferences. We also arranged transportation through the resort, which was very reasonably priced compared to other hotels and private companies—making logistics seamless and stress-free. The hospitality across the entire property was unmatched. We loved having access to multiple hot springs, and the golf cart drivers were wonderful—often going out of their way to stop so the kids could spot sloths, birds, and other wildlife. We also enjoyed the complimentary nature walk, which lasted over an hour and allowed us to explore the property with binoculars and observe even more wildlife. Overall, Nayara Tented Camp provided an unforgettable family experience filled with warmth, comfort, and personalized service. We cannot wait to return.

"Nature/adventure luxury done right"

10.0

We stayed at Nayara Tented Camp for four nights in April and loved the experience. The property is beautiful, the service is thoughtful, and everything runs the way you expect at this level. We booked a family tent, which is great, but the separate key card setup didn’t work as well for us with young kids. We adjusted by using a regular tent and keeping the family tent as a shared space, which actually worked out really well. The only issue was the first night with our dietary restrictions, which weren’t properly communicated by our travel agency. After that, Mayank and the team handled everything perfectly. Every restaurant was prepared, and our last dinner at Nayara Springs was a highlight. The staff was consistently attentive without being overbearing. Small things like kids’ robes and slippers showing up when housekeeping noticed our children, golf carts ready when needed, and help coordinating with even third party tour operators/drivers made a big difference to our experience. A couple minor things. One tent was situated in the midst of a cicada brood (it's nature, it is what it is), but it was all cleaned out daily. Our AC went down one night, and they fixed it and proactively comped the incidental charges to the roon without us even asking. It’s expensive, but worth it. If we did it again, we’d stay a full week. Do a few days of excursions and spend the rest just enjoying the property. Four nights wasn’t enough.

"Best Family Vacation EVER"

10.0

My wife and I, with our children, ages 11, 8, and 6, recently stayed 5 days at Nayara. We have been fortunate enough to have had family vacations in Turks, Bahamas, Mexico, Cayman Islands......none were even close to our time in Costa Rica at Nayara. While ALL of the staff was beyond friendly, truly exemplifying the essence of Pura Vida, there were a few members who made our family vacation just that much more special. Starting with Aerial welcoming us, assuring every aspect of customer service was right on point. While I was impressed with the fresh haircuts of the employees, he literally invited me to go with him one morning later that week he had a haircut appointment in La Fortuna. The last day he surprised my daughter for her upcoming birthday, having the live entertainment at dinner sing Happy Birthday to her, only to go back to the room to have balloons, chocolates and a note to her. Brian, mi tocayo, was maybe one of the nicest people I've ever met. The first night after picking us up from dinner, and only 15 minutes left in his shift, he asks, "Want to see some frogs?" With his flashlight in hand and my 3 kids right behind, he took us around to spot frogs in the lush vegetation on property. Any time Brian would pick us up, he'd radio to his coworkers to take us to spot monkeys and sloths. My kids LOVED him!!! Going above and beyond is an understatement. Last, Jose at the reception bar. Upon checking-in, he served us our watermelon drinks and talked to my kids about the snakes they could see. I spoke to Jose 1:1 about where we're from, his upbringing and mine, what I do for work, our outlook on life, health, etc. Seeing, hearing and having a mutual respect for one another, even though from completely different parts of the world, was really cool. Jose was the man! My family will never remember what vacation we were on that had mudslides at the swim up bar, but will always remember the adventures and memories created at Nayara. The resort is unlike any other I've been to, but the staff, culture and experience will always be remembered as the most memorable vacation we've ever taken. Muchas gracias por toda!! "Wonderful Honeymoon Experience at Nayara"

10.0

We had the most incredible stay at Nayara Tented Camp, and a huge part of that was thanks to Christian, who made our honeymoon unforgettable. Carolina was also very attentive in ensuring we had a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome from them. Christian took the time to sit down with us, walk us through everything the resort has to offer, and make sure every detail of our stay was exactly how we wanted it. We really appreciated how much effort he put into getting to know us and tailoring our itinerary to us. He asked about our wedding and our interests, and carried that throughout our stay in such thoughtful ways. For example, after learning how much we love coffee, he surprised us with bags of coffee beans in our room, which meant so much to us. The entire experience at the resort was just as amazing. It felt like camping, but in the most luxurious way. Every inch of the resort was clean, and we felt completely safe and pampered while still being immersed in the wonders of the jungle. One of our favorite parts was the wildlife and the beautiful vegetation all around us. We saw so many different species of birds and even a family of monkeys (my favorite animal) right in our backyard. Our room felt like our very own oasis; we loved being able to take a dip in our private naturally-heated pool and munch on fruit and snacks that they refilled every day. We also really appreciated the turn-down service and all the cute surprises we would come back to after dinner. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. Everyone made it a point to congratulate us on our honeymoon, ask about our trip, and give us suggestions along the way. Everything felt very intentional and the service overall was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We were able to try every restaurant at the resort, and each one had its own unique vibe and cuisine, which we really loved. The Bésame Mucho experience in particular was very romantic and personalized. As was the Spa couples massage, which we were very kindly gifted. Costa Rica was beautiful, and this resort made our time there even more special. We are very appreciative of Nayara Tented! Our honeymoon was truly the best and most memorable trip. We can't wait to be back in years to come 🤍

"A true rainforest experience"

10.0

Our travel agent had recommended staying at Nayara at the end of the trip to ensure we ended on a high and this place did not disappoint. Walking into the room we got an amazing view of the Arenal mountain and the privacy of the place just made this stay even better. The rooms are good size with all the necessary amenities, including two side beds which are perfect for the kids. Although we got unlucky with the rain, just being in the room and being able to enjoy the natural beauty outside made this stay wonderful. What really stood out though was the service. The staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to make sure everyone is having a great experience. They truly understand the beauty of this place and genuinely seem happy to take care of the guests. From the bell boys who love to show the sloths to the room service and cleaning staff who do an exceptional job, we really appreciated all the work they do. My only recommendation to the front office was to increase vegetarian dining options as we started running out of options after 2 days, especially since several of the restaurants are adults only and so we could not go there with our 8yr old son. We ended up eating out in the town a few times so wasn't a big deal but would have loved to be able to order some Thai or Indian food within the hotel so we didn't need to step out.
