"Perfect position to walk to everything La Rochelle has to offer"

A hotel in a perfect position to walk to everything La Rochelle has to offer, with parking (worth reserving). Our SatNav brought us to the waterfront at the end of a street which was inaccessible. You have to in effect, drive around the block, navigating the one way system, to access the hotel car park. Reception staff welcoming and knowledgeable. Lovely and comfortable bar area. A delicious hot chocolate before bed, enjoyed. Our room (we received a free upgrade) was comfortable, newly refurbished and spotless. Attractive shower room. Good WiFi. We felt safe walking back to the hotel, late at night, in its traditional setting. It’s great to sit around the harbour for a drink and soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful place. We chose to eat away from the harbour, at Ginger, where prices were good for quality food. An extremely well run restaurant with excellent staff and an English menu.
