Charming guest house in a brilliant location. Amazing breakfast and a great host who is attentive and engaging!
Staff are very friendly and helpful, it has a very homey feel. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is great. There is a fully equipped kitchen available to all guests, a fully stocked bar area and the pool is sparkling. There is a lot of security for the property, the only downside is that the area feels slightly unsafe and the nightclub up the road blares music til all hours of the night/morning (obviously not the guest house's fault - however if you are a light sleeper the area is probably not for you).
I had a very nice, relaxing time at this guest house. The owners were very friendly and chatty and the staff were very nice. Breakfast in the morning with other guests was very nice. It's also about a block from Florida St, the main street for bars, pubs and restaurants in the Durban area and where many young people, students and locals relax. I met a lot of locals while having beers on Florida St. Only minor drawback is that the wifi is juuuust a tad slow but that's not a huge deal-breaker.
