Comfort Inn Dyersville Near the Field of Dreams

Hotel was good , people need to check restrooms. The toilet in the lobby restroom was clogged for the 2 days we were there, and the one in the pool area out of toilet paper., And employees just sitting behind counter. The crate in the hot is dangerous, someone cut there toe and the person working didn't even close the hot tub or check on the person just gave them a pool towel to put on his bleeding toe.

The room was perfectly clean. The location is quiet and only a block or so from a grocery and convenience stores, including a Mexican restaurant and a Dairy Queen. Pool is nice. Breakfast is basic but adequate, but no fresh fruit. Beverages are limited to coffee, hot water for tea, and orange juice. (I thought there was also apple juice a year or so ago, but maybe I'm wrong.) Staff is friendly. Wi-fi worked fine. Computer station for printing airline boarding passes or other routine needs is available. Price is outrageously high for this part of the country (my reason for four stars instead of five), but that's what happens when you have a near monopoly, with only two other rather basic options in town.

The cinnamon rolls were soft and amazing! Eggs were good too.

The 1st room we had, the ceiling leaked by the windows. It was pouring outside and raining inside. Not good! We switched rooms.

We stayed two nights at this Comfort Inn. There were few choices to stay in Dyersville and this one was a little pricey but I was able to use points for our stay so it became reasonable. I would definitely stay here again. With the exception of an empty Dr Pepper bottle under the bed (not so far under that it shouldn’t have been seen) the room was extremely clean and nicely furnished. The shower had the best water pressure of any Hotel I’ve been in a long time. Staff was accommodating not overly friendly. The one exception to this was the woman in charge of the breakfast room. She was friendly and happy and eager to please. The breakfast was a usual hotel breakfast nothing special but adequate. I will say the same thing I said about the last comfort Inn I stayed at. It’s summer there is plenty of fresh fruit available it would take little to add this for those who want something other than standard fare of waffles sausage and eggs. Overall I was impressed and would have given a 5 star ratio g if it wasn’t for the Dr Pepper bottle

Friendly staff at check in. Room was standard size, clean. Pool was comfortably warm and the whirlpool was just the perfect temperature. Hotel is right beside a Dollar General and the room I was at was on the ground floor across the parking lot of the store but it wasn’t too noisy. Breakfast was good - waffle maker, sausage and eggs, cinnamon rolls, different kinds of bread, coffee was hot and strong. Would definitely recommend.
