Haus am Stadttor

My wife and I stayed in Haus am Stadttor for two nights in August 2025. We absolutely loved the place. It is perfectly located and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need for a short or long-term stay. We slept like babies in the comfortable bed and enjoyed the quiet, though the house is located a very short walk to the altstadt. Mathias was also very friendly, welcoming, kind, helpful and flexible. He let us check in early and allowed us a late check-out. All-in-all, a great stay!

Ausgesprochen freundlicher, persönlicher Empfang und ausgiebige Einweisung in alle Gegebenheiten. Der Gastgeber liebt, was er tut.

I kanten av Altstadt ligger denna fina, personliga lägenhet. Fräscht, unikt och med bra läge. Huset är från 1600-talet och det märks mest i alla vinklar, smal trappa och vackra detaljer. Mycket trevlig värd som verkligen var hjälpsam. Personlig incheckning, litet kök och fint badrum. Sov/vardagsrum i ett.

It was an amazing stay. Wonderful view of the city and kind host.

It was perfect, and Matthias is wonderful.

This cosy apartment (Gelb/Yellow) is at a different location about 3 minutes from their main building and directly at the historic and picturesque Kirchplatz (church yard) in the old town. Within the old world setting, the interior is modern and functional. It is well insulated, so no fear during winter temperatures! Bathroom has everything incl a fabulous view!! Everything is clean, with a lot of character and welcoming. The host, Sylvain made sure we knew where everything is.

The shower can be a bit temperamental in the mornings, turning suddenly cold. But that only lasts a few seconds, so not a big issue.
