Best Western Plus Elgin - Chicago

A shower mat would have been nice, as the shower was a bit slippery.

Staff provided excellent customer service, the pool was good for stretching out in after a long day of work, breakfast was filling, and it's close to river.

Bed got a little hot over night, some of the rooms I was in, the AC auto setting needs to be calibrated so that the fan shuts off when the temperature reaches what the guest sets it at and only turns on again when the temperature rises, not constantly running like I had to experience in one of the rooms I stayed in just to maintain what I wanted it at.

Very good stay in Elgin, good value for money. Quick drive to the airport as well.

Nothing in particular. Not suitable for frequent visits to Chicago but you know that before booking in Elgin anyway.

Very clean hotel and the beds were great!

The property is clean and very well maintained. Rooms are modern and bed is comfortable. The staff here is friendly, welcoming, and respectful. Khushi, the front desk receptionist is warm and took away the anxiety of traveling alone and coming in late from my work nights. She’s angelic!

Overall I’d say it’s one of the nicer best westerns I’ve stayed at. They normally aren’t my first choice, but the rooms here seem clean. The beds are pretty comfortable, which I don’t say too often about hotel beds. Only real complaint I have on this hotel is the amount of noise you’ll hear from the hallways throughout the night, and if you get stuck by wedding block rooms, you’re going to hear them for much of the after party as well. The walls are paper thin and you can hear all their conversations in the room next door. But still one of the nicer hotels in the area, just gotta hope you don’t have loud people around you. Not much the hotel can do about that, but it would be nice if they tried a little harder putting some sound proofing between rooms.
