Sonesta Select San Francisco Airport Oyster Point Waterfront

I liked that it was at the end of a road and it was clean and very quiet

I normally like staying at this hotel but I’m wondering if things have changed and not for the better. My recent stay was without any air conditioning. Rooms get stuffy quite quickly in California without air. Well they couldn’t get me another room, so they gave me fan. The fan was so loud you had to have the tv really loud or you couldn’t hear anything, definitely not good if you want quiet to sleep. I also received a voucher I was told would get me breakfast in the morning, great, except no it didn’t. The lobby restaurant informs me I could only have a muffin and coffee. Why even say I could get breakfast if I can’t? And yes they do serve breakfast. They weren’t very friendly about it either. The front desk is great but I guess they can’t anything about it which is just odd, especially since they are the ones saying I can get breakfast. Strange and disappointing. So I decided to return to my room since I’d left early thinking I’d eat breakfast, already locked out and it wasn’t even check out time yet. I just left. I have another reservation here later this month, debating if I should change to a different hotel or give it another chance.

Location of the hotel was very nice

The room we were given was probably the worst in the place—some rooms would have been awesome, I imagine, like the ones facing the water. Our room we were told was an “upgrade”. On the second floor facing the freeway, train tracks, parking lot. The balcony overlooked a dirty concrete platform with air filter and trash on it. I think they gave us their worst room because we booked through a “ third party” as they called it.
