OYO Hampton South Carolina Hwy 278

This hotel had the only available room in 100 miles on this stretch of I-95. We lucked out - it was spotless, comfortable, quiet, and easy. Non-smoking room with no smell (sometimes motels with smoking rooms smell bad, but not this one). No frills, but probably the most comfortable hotel pillows I've experienced in a while.

First impression was horrible, we arrived just after dark to a closed lobby. We had to check in through a little window bc she said neighborhood was ok but for her safety. Made us feel really unsafe.Room was filthy, after taking a bath you could feel the grime on your feet. Bathroom had stains on tile, a/c didn’t cool

Cindy at the front desk went out of her way to help us and that was a great start to our one night stay. Room was exactly what we expected. Very basic. No frills. However, it was CLEAN and the bed was comfortable. Location was convenient to our event and served our purpose. Hampton SC is a very small little town and this little hotel serves their community. Thank you Cindy for all your help!

The room was clean and nicely appointed. Check-in was quick and easy. She was expecting me, with my key ready, etc. The check-out was just as easy with a receipt. I didn't eat breakfast on this trip, but stayed here before and the breakfast was as expected.

We've stayed here a few times when in town. The staff has always been very friendly and the rooms are clean. Continental breakfast has a good variety and is pretty good. We would recommend this hotel to others.

The night clerk was horrible upon arrival early am 5/26/17. There was a mix up with the name on the reservation because my sister arrived earlier than me. So she switched the reservation to Jackson therefore when I arrived asked for the reservation in Murdaugh unaware of this. The night clerk was very, very rude in trying to solve the problem. At this point, because she was so nasty I returned the unkindness. If this were my property I would not have her representing my property.

I've heard horror stories before about Day's Inns. This turned out better than expected. The furniture in the room was older, but the bedding was very comfortable and everything was clean. I would stay here again.

Great hotel. Will stay there again when in the area!
