Travelodge by Wyndham Guymon

Just traveling through with our grandkids and thought it had the Wyndham name behind it. It was a bad choice, place is run down. The pool was closed which is another reason we chose it. There were 4 of us and not enough breakfast to go around but it looked pretty unappetizing. At least the beds were clean. But I would not stay here again.

Arrived a little late on Saturday evening but was welcomed by Charlie. Great man who always takes great care of me. He put me in a very nice room. It wasn't his fault but there was a Spanish band across the alley from the hotel. They were EXTREMELY LOUD and played until 1:30am. Just had to turn up my TV and go to bed! Actually slept very well though. I'll always go out of my way to stay here! Great little place. Great price. Great almost new recliner in my room. Ahhhhhhhhh it felt so nice to relax in it too!!!!

We stayed here for two nights while traveling to Guymon for our daughter's volleyball tournament at nearby Okalahoma Pandhandle State University, which is about a 10 minute drive. The hotel is an older property, but decently maintained. The ONLY worker we ever saw is who I'm assuming to be the owner/manager. He checked us in when we arrived and spent about 10 minutes telling us why we shouldn't come to Guymon....talked extensively about the cops setting speed traps all over and the high costs of tickets, etc. He was friendly, but certainly not the "Welcoming Committee" for Guymon! Our room was clean. It was a suite style room with a separate couch/sitting area. The AC didn't work the greatest -- seemed like it recirculated a lot of water. You could hear it in the AC. Our room stayed pretty humid. Breakfast was not the greatest....very bare minimum. We never saw any workers checking on the breakfast room cleanliness or restocking food. We also never saw any housekeepers. We just saw the same man from the front desk in the hallways and coming out of guest rooms. We wondered if he was a one-man crew? The hotel served it's purpose and the cost was budget friendly.

We wanted something unexpensive for the night and we got the cheapest hotel in Guymon. It's true you get what you pay for. First impression was pretty bad as I saw The man upfront was dressed very poorly. The spa tub smelled very bad couldn't even be in their for 5 min. smelled like burnt rubber..The pool area was messy and had a dog cage inside. Breakfast was okai. The juices were very water down. But if your just looking to stay in your room, the rooms were good no smells and beds were good just take your own towels because those were pretty bad also.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with tv and crisp sheetst. Breakfast was ok and filling. Coffee was hot and tasted fresh. The swimming pool was closed for the winter which was a little early. Would stay there again.

The owners were very cordial and my stay was pleasant and affordable although I did not have to pay for it.

I stopped here for one night on a road trip. The man who checked me in was very helpful and friendly. The room was fine.... About what I expect from a day's inn. The breakfast was not as complete some day's inns I've stayed in but it was adequate. The motel was very quiet.... a good place for a night's sleep.
