Holiday Inn Express Williamsburg North by IHG

Very nice and clean.

Lobby is clean and pleasant

Hotel was ok. Just had to change sheets.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room had brown spots on the mirror that was inside the mirror so it couldn’t be wiped off. Walking down the hall I noticed discoloration on the entry’s of other rooms.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Location was quiet, for being in a tourist city. Bed was comfortable. Everything looked clean.

Our first room had a musty, mildewy smell that bothered us all night. We requested a room change the next day. The second room was fine. The bathrooms have no towel bars, so you have to drape towels over the shower rod or just put them on the counter. The breakfast was not satisfactory. Too many sweets and fats. Potatoes were like cardboard fluff, not real. Would have appreciated yogurt and whole grain bread and cereals.

Very clean! Welcoming! Good breakfast! Would stay here again!

Size of the room was nice

Room was not ready until around 445 when check in time is 3. Staff failed to reveal that there were cable issues. Only 8 channels available. Staff seemed to know when we addressed it.

We left to find another hotel shortly after check in. The room did not have a clean appearance or smell; the room had a stale odor, the walls were dirty, the TUB WAS DISGUSTING and had obvious wear and tear and lack of attentiveness to cleanliness and up keep over time. Just not the standard of Holiday Inn Express we experienced in the past, so we were shocked. Even the lobby area was the first red flag that management hasn’t put in effort in the cleanliness and upkeep of the building. The front desk ladies (supervisor and the assistant general manager) were kind and professional. They were not only warm and welcoming to my children and gave the birthday boy a snack bag, but they were professional and understanding when we needed an early check out.

Very disappointing. Ac was broke and was so hot we ended up leaving. There was no other rooms available. Called front desk and all they said was maintence could come in morning. Room was very humid and hot.

I was in room 326. The room would not open with the key card as I’m assuming the batteries needed to be changed. The bathroom, especially the bathtub was disgusting. We had towels that were soaked when we entered the room. The TV also did not work. I paid 258 dollars for this stay and would have probably been better off sleeping in my car.
