My family and I stayed almost one night. The room was large but very dingy, smelled like a mix of smoke, dog and mold. We could not stay even the full night and left as soon as we could at 4am. Felt like we spent our money for nothing.

"Would pick a different hotel due to the road noise."

The view to Lake Michigan and the restaurant next to the hotel.

The road ran in front of the lake view rooms and was very loud, not peaceful to set out an enjoy the view.

Positive factors: The room was very nice, excellent layout, roomy, Nice TV,available couch. Negative factors: patio, dirty, screen door did not work, towels were cheap and thin, definitely not enough closet space, not enough drawer space for clothes. Adequate breakfast, very good coffee.

The bed was comfy but when we opened the slider to our lakeview room balconey we discovered how busy the highway is and it's noisy. There were what looked like donut sprinkles still on the carpet in front of the rooms desk but the room was clean besides that. They did let us check in a few hours early which was very nice as the weather went south and rained all afternoon. If you don't mind the traffic noise it's a great view.

"Our new favorite home away from home."

This is our second trip to St. Joseph and will go again next year. The staff is amazing and the suite we were in had the very best view of the lake. I spent my mornings on the balcony with a great cup of coffee and enjoyed just looking at the lake. Evenings at sunset were amazing over the water. Loved the lady working the breakfast room. She was very sweet and made sure we had all we could eat. We also liked the updating done so far and hear there is more to come. See you next August!
