Hamilton Princess & Beach Club - a Fairmont Managed Hotel

The property itself is beautiful and very clean. However I believe the staff are the crown in the jewel. We booked Fairmont gold and let me tell you it’s worth the upgrade. The staff and concierge are the most friendly and helpful people you could ever encounter. Rolley, george Pascoal and Peter started our days with a smile. They are always looking to make sure you have everything you want and more. Not to forget Alisha at the gold desk who also goes above and beyond to make your stay go well..we took advantage of the shuttle to go to the private beach which was dreamy and then of course the infinity pool onsite. At both locations we never had a problem finding chairs and an umbrella. being in Hamilton is a plus since you can easily walk to the shops and many restaurants

This was quite an experience. I loved everything about this hotel. I will definitely be back and also have been telling my friends about the excellent accommodation.

Service is the outstanding point that you notice at this resort. The employees just can’t do enough to help you out. As per negatives,some of the rooms seem to be getting a little worn and it was hard to get housekeeping service, as it was spotty even after making several calls. Some of it was held standing when they finally got there and some, mediocre. Location and food were truly outstanding. Intrepid was especially outstanding, and the seafood dish we had therewas probably the best we’ve ever tasted.

I would recommend the Princess for anyone that would like a quick walk to downtown Hamilton (Front St. + The Ferry). Very friendly staff, made check-in/out very easy. Cabs available right outside the door + rent a mini-car, and Water sports right there. We went last week or August, so the the complimentary shuttle to the private beach was not every 30 min as I've read, but instead they post the shuttle schedule: early, 12, 2:15, 3:45, last one back at 6. The private beach was nice, but just a cove. I blew up my floatie and just floated around, but it was nice to have a bathroom, drinks & eats after... We went once and that was good enough. The salt, heated, infinity pool was a great spot to lounge at the hotel + the hot tub. Overall - just excellent. Appreciated the upgrades we got for my wife's birthday and then again for our anniversary. Thank you Princess! Hopefully we'll be back!

The property was not worth what was paid for and it needs to be renovated, as it is very dated.

We loved our stay at Princess! The hotel itself is a museum of modern art. It's beautiful, convenient, staff were overall very friendly. We'd definitely consider going back there again.

The property is old and feeling tired. Proximity to town is nice but for the price, it is overrated. We had booked the gold level and our room was just a basic room that was old and very outdated (the gold level is not the same at other Fairmonts - your rooms are nicer, better situated and on specific access floors only. Access to the gold lounge was great and they have renovated the area nicely. Staff in the gold lounge were very nice. Overall, would not stay here again.

Well maintained property in a good location. Staff was more than friendly and helpful. The restaurants were very good, especially the Intrepid.

The staff is awesome! They are extremely helpful, reliable, knowledgeable and kind. The gold check-in is worth it. They are continuing to renovate the hallways which is a plus. I wish you could book excursion bookings from the front desk.

This is our second time to Hamilton Princess and we still love it. Staff is very helpful, grounds are impeccable, renovated rooms are very clean and modern. Restaurants within the resort are excellent, while other options are very walkable too. Looking forward to returning.
