Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello

Malheureusement, notre séjour n'a pas été à la hauteur de nos attentes. La chambre était très petite pour quatre personnes et les lits doubles peu confortables. L'aménagement de la salle de bain avec les toilettes sans séparation n'est pas pratique. La machine à café et le réfrigérateur ne fonctionnaient pas.De plus, le bruit provenant des voisins, notamment des enfants, a nui à la qualité de notre sommeil

The overall chateau is beautiful.

I emailed the concierge and reception a month before my stay to confirm the availability of the winter activities listed on the website, as this trip was meant to be a winter holiday for my, my husband, and my two year old daughter. We were primarily interested in sledding, skating, and the sleigh rides. My daughter is too young for the snow shoeing and curling which is also listed. The reception and concierge let me know that the sleigh rides would not begin until Dec 20, but that all other activities would be available. When we arrived there, we received a map which showed where the sledding and skating was supposed to be. We got into our winter clothes and went out to those areas, only to be told that none of it was available during our stay. They had no available activities for kids and toddlers and other facilities were also closed. There was really nothing we could do as a family other than sit around and spend money on over priced food and alcohol. We wrote them an email about our disappointing experience and let them know that we would be leaving a night early to somewhere that was more family friendly. We requested a refund on our last night to which they never responded to. We spent over $1700 on the accomodations and another $700 on our food and beverage while there. To say the experience was disappointing is an incredible understatement. We have traveled to over ten countries with our little one and never had such poor communication and customer service. It was completely their responsibility to be forthcoming about what was available. Had we known, we would have picked another destination. I do not recommend. Worst Fairmont we've ever experienced. As an alternative, we highly recommend the omega parc wolf lodge. Amazing experience.

Nous avons aimé le cadre général du parc et des bâtiments. L'impression de grandeur et de beauté de la décoration et de l'architecture. Un cadre unique !

Nous avons regretté la vétusté des murs des chambres et du plafond, et de la salle de bain avec un rideau de douche et très peu d'espace. La note qui nous est apportée à table alors que madame est encore en train de manger. Le café n'était que de l'eau chaude.

The location is on a lake, beautiful facilities in an old historical building. It’s the coziest place for a winter get away, kids welcome and the fireplace - perfect!
