Very comfortable, slept amazing, had a great time staff was super friendly!

I had come up from Florida, on my way to Petoskey Michigan. I have started staying in IHG Hotels. Weather was bad, so I was stuck in Lapeer. It is not close to hwy 69. but I booked a room and asked for the quietest they had, was told no problem. I get there and was given a room on first floor at end of 1st floor #102 right next to stairway from end of building. All was good till guest above showed up while I was trying to sleep. I have sleep issues, and they were told of that issue. Next thing I could hear every time some would walk with the floor creaking and heavy walking. It was late and I was just hoping it would be a short time, and they would go to bed. They were up and down throughout night. I was woken up early to hearing water running sound. And room above noise again. Headed to noise of water coming from bathroom and it was pouring down through vent fan above toilet in ceiling and had whole bath area deep in water. Ran to front desk and told attendant about night and water, not sure if it was toilet above or wherever? The front desk person apologized and said he would let manager know and get me some sort of compensation. And with that I agreed to wait storm in northern Michigan out in another room #318. never heard from management and saw manager a blond woman at the breakfast and asked about the compensation I was told, and she replied that she needed to review emails. Checked my credit card and they had billed full amount and NO RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT. THIS WAS MARCH 28TH I ARRIVED AND NEVER HEARD A THING, NOW 30TH. Still stuck another night. (3 nights total) I went to front desk and tried to speak with manager. not to be found! It seems customer service and wanting loyal customer base doesn't matter to an unqualified ran Hotel. I had planned on staying in area for a month till my house was ready I was waiting on in area was delayed. I am a retired owner of 3 businesses. She would be fired under my watch and my customers would be treated well with a real customer service response. I would want them to stay at all our hotels and when in area stay at Lapeer. CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!!!!. THEY JUST CARE AT THIS LOCATION WHICH SEEMED SLOW YOUR MONEY WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT. MANAGEMENT IS SAD, POOR. DO NOT CARE.

Absolutely amazing guest service! Several extended family members were spread through out several rooms and all of us received stellar guest service!

Room was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Had a minor problem with some ants around the jacuzzi and in the bathroom so that’s why I gave 4 stars. But overall the bed was comfy and staff was very friendly and helpful.

Its convenient and the staff is always so helpful. And the breakfasts are great.

Would stay again.
