Coober Pedy Experience Motel

Great experience to stay underground, warm inside when it was very cold outside. Equipped with a toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery which was great to make breakfast and a coffee. There's also a restaurant on site that will make Barnstaple coffee. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

It is located in an old mine cave.

Property is really nice, I did not like the city.

darkness & quiet

Dark room, slept well.

Great experience to sleep underground as a novelty. Room was not claustrophobic and included a bathroom. Staff were informative and suggested very good options for meals. and tourist sights.

Linen was clean but not crisp linen that is common in motels.

Fantastic experience of underground stays also pet friendly which is a bonus for us travelling with our dog.

It was a bit stuffy even with fans going in the room.

The look of the place is incredible if you got kids they'll love it, I thought the DVD library was a great idea I watched a few. And the bed I had was one of the most comfortable I've slept in.
