Homewood Suites by Hilton Saint Louis-Chesterfield

The hotel seems new and is in good condition. We had a suite that had a kitchen in it. When we arrived their was shattered glass on the floor of the kitchen. Hard to understand how housekeeping missed shattered glass all over the floor before telling the front desk that the room was clean. They did send someone to clean it promptly, but that is really dangerous that they released this room with broken glass all over the floor. Our second issue was that the walls are so thin in this hotel. We were on the first floor and it sounded like herds of elephants rumbling above us very often throughout our stay morning, noon and night which made it hard to sleep. The plumbing wall is also very noisy so we kept hearing really load burst when people were either using the toilets or showers in our stack.

Nice and clean

First of all when I checked in, I could hardly understand the clerk as our English was really terrible. Secondly, we found a bug in our room that was alive, crawling over my leg when I was sitting on the couch and then later another dead one in the bathroom! We asked to get a refund on the last day and they told us we couldn’t because we had booked through you. So instead, they moved us to another room per our request. The breakfast they offered was good and the gentleman on Friday morning was extremely bubbly and friendly.

Room wasn’t cleaned well and bathroom smelled like cannabis. Fox “news” was always on in the lobby.
