Hyatt Regency Calgary

First when I walked in the room it smelled almost like a burning smell. It was not pleasant. then I asked for some non-down pillows as I’m allergic to feathers they brought me two pillows, and one of them was still a down feathered pillow, so I ended up with one pillow instead of two on my bed, which was annoying for watching TV. I was there for business and working late till 3:30 in the morning and at 6:30 in the morning, I was abruptly awoken into a large bang right above my bed. This continued on every couple minutes for the rest of the morning when I went down and complained, they told me that the gym is directly above my bedroom. I paid extra for a corner room as this site says this is supposed to be a quiet room away from the elevators and you pay extra for that when I complain the next morning all they did was give me $50 off the $200 room service bill that I had. I’ll be spending my money elsewhere next time

Clean, good location for the competition, aesthetically pleasing, nice staff

Shower was not hot enough, parking is over priced and was a bit of a pain

Hotel was in a great location, rooms were nice, big enough and had everything we needed. Staff were very accommodating as well. Only downfall, which wasn’t their fault at all, construction made accessing the property a bit of a challenge but will definitely be back!

The front desk staff were excellent. Listen to my concerns about the road construction.

Due to construction on Center street found it to be very confusing. The workers were not located close enough the the hotel entrance. They were waving the stop sign at me so I turned into the first turning spot I saw not know it was the tram way and not street. Street car was blowing its horn for me to clear the tracks. I was quick enough the reverse and get back on road before being hit. Talked to hotel staff and explained what had happened. They were glad nothing happened and had gone out and spoke to the construction workers again. Not the first time I was told.

Pillows were too firm

Staff were exceptional. Very helpful and made a special stay for our anniversary very memorable.
