Our family was recently displaced due to severe home damage from ice dams, and our insurance company provisionally booked us here. This hotel proved to be a stressful and unsafe environment for anyone traveling with young children.On our very first day, I discovered an exposed, razor-sharp Exacto knife blade left flat on the carpet directly next to the AC unit—right where my 10-month-old infant and 2-year-old toddler were actively playing. If it weren't for my fast reflexes and constant hyper-alertness as a father spotting it just inches away from our children, this would have been a catastrophic medical emergency. It was a terrifying "near-miss."Leaving a lethal industrial maintenance tool on a guest room floor points to a profound failure in room safety inspections. What made it worse was the total lack of accountability from local management. We reported the hazard to the front desk immediately with photographic proof. We held the rooms for 17 days, followed up multiple times, and were completely brushed off and ignored by the local team. We ultimately checked out early because the rooms felt unsafe and lacked basic kitchen facilities for babies.Days after checking out, the General Manager finally called back only to pass the blame onto "new employees" and offered absolutely zero restitution or refunds for the extreme trauma caused to our family.While Hilton Corporate eventually stepped in to apologize and issue loyalty points after we escalated the file to executive leadership, the local Sturbridge property showed a complete lack of urgency regarding a serious child safety breach. If you are a parent, please thoroughly inspect the floors of your room before letting your children crawl around this hotel.

Lovely property. Friendly staff and the room and the rest of the property were super clean. Great, convenient location.
