I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel between 28 March and 4 April 2025 and had a wonderful visit. Upon my arrival and throughout my stay, I was welcomed with great hospitality by the reception desk staff, in particular Faviana, Anthony, Alejandra, Ricchel and Miguel. The common areas and guest rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The Market restaurant serves delicious Honduran and international cuisine and the staff, including Estefany and Mario are attentive, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast and dinner buffets are the best value. Among Honduran specialties for breakfast, Julia in the Market Cafe makes wonderful baleadas to order. The hotel has a well-equipped fitness area and a large swimming pool. My only areas for improvement would be: water should be included gratis, and not be charged extra, in all Market restaurant buffets. It is at times difficult to enjoy the swimming pool given the amount of loud music and people hanging out around the pool.
