Beach Haven - Near Pacific Beach Park

Good spot at a very convenient location. Rooms are large. Service is good. Will definitely come back!

Great beach hotel. At the end of the pacific beach bars, but only by a block. You get the easy access to the beach and bars without being in the middle of it. Staff is friendly and helpful! Pool and hot tub are a bonus!

Great place. Conveniently located to the Pacific beach and also great access to a ton of restaurants and bars. Also thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. Definitely recommend this place in you want to stay in Pacific beach.

I recently stayed at Beach Haven and was thoroughly unimpressed. The rooms aren’t the nicest and a little musty, which I guess was partially expected given the price. However, there were some basic hospitality expectations that fell far short of my expectations. - On Friday afternoon the only ice machine in the entire facility was out of order. By Sunday afternoon, it was still broken. No ice for guests all weekend. - The day we checked out, my 10 year old daughter wanted to go in the pool one last time. The front desk attendant wouldn’t allow it after we turned in our room key. I asked “why” and the only answer I got was”we just can’t”. - For about an hour at 7:30am Sunday morning, there was very loud music playing from one of the rooms. It was so loud it could be heard right through the walls.

The office manager was super helpful. The place is a great location. Having the hot tub was a great bonus. Will book here again.

This is a trifle, but my grandson lost a dollar in the coke machine the night we checked in. Front desk said she would call the company and to come back the next day. The next day the front desk said the company hadn't been there yet and to come back later. This was when we were checking out. We did go to the beach for a few hours and went back and asked for his dollar again. Nobody there. I know it was only a dollar, right. Right. Don't you think the front desk could give him a dollar and then get refunded from the company. They asked us to come back! Really!

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the property. It was a few steps from the beach and only 10 or 20 minutes from all of the San Diego attractions. Plenty of food options and bars within a short walking distance. The only negative was that the bed was lnot comfortable, but it can work for a few days.

I would totally recommend this for a quieter stay in PB. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating -- even helped us out with late check-in. Property is comparable to others in the area, but was more affordable. Only tiny complaint was the water pressure was a tiny trickle. Would definitely consider this one again.

Loud A/C unit, thin walls, no microwave available unless guest was willing to pay extra, scratchy sheets. Overall mediocre at best.
