"Very unpleasant, noisy filthy dirty little hotel stay across the street at the Marriott lot, nicer and secure"

My experience was a small filthy unsafe environment for anyone to stay in rooms were not ready for check-in on arrival!!

Location was great for the New Year's festivities; walked to the venues where activities were happening. Room: Our room was located on the main street, so it was not quiet. Double pane windows would help if installed. Room didn't have a closet to hang things. Old historic hotel, so understandable I guess. The heat worked perfectly and so did the ceiling fan and lights.

Just the noise of traffic on the street as the room faced the street. We stayed here in the summer a while back and they didn't have airconditioning.

We had the most amazing stay for Nee Years Eve last night - felt like we were stepping into another century of elegance and beauty with all the historic pieces throughout within this beautiful historic hotel. The room was so pretty and the bed extremely comfortable - we slept like logs. Location could not have been more perfectly situated to enjoy First Night Monterey NYE festival. It needed the night at the British pub on the corner which was so much fun. Our stay was truly magical and we will be back again no doubt.

very well appointed classic hotel from bygone years. Staff is wonderful, beds are comfy and right on the main street. It’s a seeet experience from another time but updated to today’s standards.

Really enjoyed our stay there either wife and Fur Babies. Loved our room space with not having any noises from other guests, etc. it was a high quality experience. Loved the Bell Boy he was exceptionally pleasant. Always more than happy to fulfill our needs❤️
