Estaba viejo y sucio. No tenía armario ni otra solución para colgar ropa. Se escuchaban todos los ruidos posibles. El ronquido del vecino y las puertas de toda la planta al cerrarse. El café del desayuo malísimo. No tiene servicio de habitaciones si no lo pides. 180$ la noche por esto, no lo vale.

Wonderful experience again. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Convenient to local restaurants, aquarium and peer. Our go to for when we visit Monterrey.

Toilet flushes like an airplane lavatory- feels like micro particles spray into the bathroom. Bathroom needs towel hooks.

Tuve una experiencia fantástica en "The Monterey Hotel". Desde el primer momento, el personal fue increíblemente eficiente, amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar, haciendo que toda la estancia fuera perfecta. Las habitaciones son muy bonitas, cómodas y acogedoras, con un ambiente que invita al descanso. Uno de los aspectos más especiales del hotel es su área terapéutica privada en el sótano, que cuenta con un jacuzzi ideal para relajarse después de un día explorando la ciudad. Es un detalle que realmente marca la diferencia y aporta una experiencia de bienestar excepcional. La ubicación en la calle Alvarado es excelente, con muchísimos restaurantes, cafeterías y opciones para comer a pocos pasos. Todo está muy accesible, lo que hace que la estancia sea aún más cómoda y agradable. Además, el hotel transmite una gran sensación de seguridad tanto dentro de las instalaciones como en los alrededores, permitiendo disfrutar de la visita con total tranquilidad. Otro punto destacado es su encanto histórico. Quienes disfrutan de los hoteles con carácter, historia y personalidad encontrarán aquí una experiencia muy especial. El edificio conserva ese ambiente clásico y auténtico que te transporta a otra época, combinado con las comodidades necesarias para una estancia confortable. En conjunto, este es un hotel de primer nivel: excelente servicio, habitaciones encantadoras, una fantástica zona de relajación, una ubicación inmejorable y un valioso legado histórico. From the moment I arrived, the staff were remarkably efficient, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made my visit seamless and enjoyable. The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable, and impeccably maintained, providing a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Breakfast was not offered. Hotel was clean. Bed comfortable. Staff was terrific. Location was perfect.

No breakfast offered. Rooms were small. No fridge unless you pay extra. Must go to front desk for Ice. Had to ask for a chair to be brought to my room just to be able to sit somewhere besides the bed. Parking was a nightmare. And expensive to use the valet service

We were really disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The photos online are extremely misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. When we arrived, we genuinely didn’t even recognize it from the exterior because it looked so different—far more run-down and dated in person. Inside, the hotel felt very dingy. The carpets were visibly dirty and stained to the point where we didn’t feel comfortable placing any bags or purses on the floor unless they could be wiped down afterward. Overall cleanliness and upkeep were not what we expected based on the listing. One particularly uncomfortable experience happened early in the morning. As a mom of two currently in my first trimester, I was feeling nauseous and went down to the lobby to avoid waking my family. While I was sitting quietly, hotel staff came and banged on the door, questioning whether I was a guest and asking me to leave. Even after explaining the situation, the interaction felt invasive and lacking in basic privacy and courtesy. The only real positive was the location—it is within walking distance to many nearby attractions, which was convenient. That said, we would strongly suggest looking into other nearby hotels for a more comfortable and welcoming experience.

We ran into this hotel by chance & I’m so happy we got to experience this beauty! The building was clean with necessities. I love the charm & history of that era. All of the Employees were helpful & kind.
