I do except the heater was making noice

Many updates of the facilities are in progress. Replacing cedar shingles and windows from this 70’s era buildings has given it a fresh new look. The location right on the Yaquina Bay gives every room a stunning view. Great attentive staff fix issues quickly. We had a wall heater that needed attention. They fixed it right away. The relatively new door locks scan system is flawless. The old style “slip the card in the slot” style were problematic. Happy to see that.

The men’s locker room, shower doors don’t close properly. One of the two outdoor spas has apparently been disabled for most of the winter. This repair should be completed. The plywood covering looks bad and sends the wrong message about maintenance. I have visited here many times over the years and I always silently cheer when repairs are complete. I know it is a tough job to keep an older property looking good, especially at the coast.

I got my room mixed up. Staff quickly got us a room but we got the king suite and at first they gave us a room that was just a queen.

The view was fantastic, the rooms were spacious, decor was nice, the place was pretty clean and didn't have foul odors

Wifi was really slow and barely worked, we didn't realize how many stairs there was which was fun with small children and luggage, the rooms layout/decor wasn't the same as the pics, heaters were old school and didn't regulate the temperature very well, the restaurant never answered their phone, any amenities weren't near the room

**1/5 — Beautiful Location, Unacceptable Conditions** The setting of Embarcadero Resort & Marina is lovely — Newport is a wonderful destination. Sadly, the resort itself fell far short of basic standards. Shortly after settling in, we found **ants in the room and in the bed** — a deeply unsettling discovery. The situation got worse overnight when the **smoke alarm sounded three times**, making any rest impossible. By morning, we had no choice but to leave before our stay was complete. We raised our concerns with management and were disappointed that rather than taking initiative to contact us and make things right, we were told to reach out to the manager ourselves. That kind of response does not reflect the level of hospitality guests deserve, especially under these circumstances. We've stayed there before, so we thought they'd want to keep our business. Travelers visiting the Newport area have other options. We cannot recommend this property in its current state.
