Old Course Hotel

the hotel is excelent as is the staff. I think itis the best place to stay in St.Andrew.

Lovely hotel in great location. Fantastic view from bar and restaurant. Very nice spa.

You’re in Golf Mecca overlooking the 17th Hole on the The Old Course. You’re drinking Whisky and gain good advice from the Road Hole Pub Manager (Paul). You then start to eat amazing food with the same view. Life could be more perfect. Rooms where spacious with nice soft linen and extremely comfortable bed. The shower, with it three heads, was also a dream. I should have stayed a few more night.

From being welcomed by Tom to help with the luggage to the great service at the restaurants and bars. It was an amazing break spilt between working and RnR. The SPA is a wonderful experience and worth a visit. Our room was amazing. The Kohler bathrooms are second to none. Thank you to all the team

Amazing stay at Old Course hotel. Hotel upgraded our room and gave us champagne and canapés for my husbands 65th birthday. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order

Old world charm ! Really luxurious from the concierge dresses in tails and the immaculate service in their dining rooms to the decor in the bar and the amenities in the spa! Highly recommend whether you golf or not!

Second visit to OCH and whilst the hotel is stunning and staff all very good was left a bit frustrated and disappointed by the restrictions imposed on us to use the Spa. This was not in the Expedia booking rules and meant we only had 45 mins to enjoy the Spa during our visit.

We found the Old Course to be very welcoming to us with our two small dogs. Beware however when booking indirectly that you need to choose a room which is dog friendly (not shown on Hotels.com) so we had to pay an addition £50 per night to upgrade the room plus £70 per night for the two dogs. It was a lot extra onto the booking, an extra £240 on top of the £560 for 2 nights B&B. I only mention costs as it’s relevant to the quality of stay. The room was very comfortable and had doors opening to a garden area which was convenient with the dogs. I have mixed feelings about the room however. Whilst I’d paid a premium for a nicer room, because it’s used for pets the carpet is fairly old. The beautiful velvet cushion on the bed also had questionable stains. So whilst it made me more relaxed about the dogs being in the room I did feel I’d spent a lot for a room that was definitely of a poorer standard than when I’ve stayed previously. A dog bed and one toy as well as dog treats were a nice touch - it’s a shame there was just one toy between the two dogs. As ever we were made to feel comfortable and welcome by staff. The breakfasts were lovely too. I would not recommend Jigger Inn however. The starters were all lovely but the main meals were not great. The sticky toffee pudding was wonderful and made up for the mains. Overall I think there are much better places to eat close by. So overall it was a very nice stay but the cost did not match up to the experience.
