Marriott Cincinnati North

The hotel is newly renovated and has a very clean feel to it. My room was not cleaned on the first day of my stay, though. Not sure why. I left the room at 11:20 or so. Came back at around 7 and it had not been cleaned. Even when it was cleaned the next day, it was not very thorough. Nothing terrible. Just that you expect a better job when you stay at a Marriott. Front desk staff was great and extremely helpful, though!

The room was nice enough, however, the bathroom door was on a barn door style, which was difficult to move. Also the glass doors on the shower didn't line up and so water escaped during a shower. The floor was completely soaked and towels didn't help. The bed was hard as a rock and left us both sore and uncomfortable.

I have to say the hotel itself was clean and seemed like it had been renovated on the more recent side. What really infuriated me was the old bait and switch on breakfast. It's set up as a buffet off the lobby, the usual scrambled eggs, bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit thing everyplace else has. But when I get up to leave the waiter asked for my room number to charge it. When I got the receipt, I almost fell out of my chair - $25 for a crappy scoop of powdered eggs, a slice of white toast and a cup of hot tea. With a nice tip (it's not the waiters fault) it was $30! Nowhere in the lobby, reception desk or near the food was there a sign or was it mentioned when checking in that breakfast involved a fee. I'm perfectly fine paying for it, just let me know in advance so I can make the choice. When I explained this to the person at the desk when I checked out, I got a shrug and "I'll pass it on." No offer to make it right whatsoever. Be up-front Marriott, and do better, there's a lot of other hotels in the world. I'll be sure to book one next time.

Nice place, comfortable bedding with a top end bar.

We were very happy with the hotel until we needed a blanket and pillow!! We called twice and they told us both times they will be right up and we NEVER even got them.

Short stop over while traveling. Good place to rest with Bar and Restaurant.

The pool was said to be heated, but it was ice cold. But other than that, excellent stay!! Excellent staff! Highly recommend.
