Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Chandler Fashion Center

Big spacious and very clean and comfortable

When we first checked in the guy at the counter didn’t know very much and double Charged my room burning the money back

As always, the Residence Inn at Chandler Fashion Center is our go to hotel when we visit Phoenix/Chandler. The staff is exceptional, warm, courteous and always go out of their way to ensure our stay is excellent. Cheryl was great and took care of us during our stay! We love the Residence Inn and we highly recommend it!

We stayed here the first night of our road trip to Texas for the eclipse. Honestly, I don't remember much other than we had a two room suite for some reason. But it must've been ok because I don't recall anything wrong other than that the hotel was sold out for the return trip so I ended up booking at the Drury for that.

The front staff were friendly. The suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths was large and had a nice layout.

We could hear people above us, which made it difficult to sleep. Pool and hot tub closed too early.

The rooms were spacious and had a full refrigerator. The hotel is located conveniently near shopping, restaurants and the highway. It also has a heated pool.

Breakfast great, property facilities pretty good. The hotel is a older but clean. The pull out couch bed is very very uncomfortable, you can feel the springs. Lots of shopping and restaurants walking distance. Parking fee should be included in the price as this hotel is comparable to other hotels in the area and they offer free parking.

The lady that checked me in was great! However later that night the lady at the front desk didn’t have great customer service. I asked for an extra blanket and she told me to go get it at the front desk since I was around the corner. It was late and we were all already in our Jammie’s. For the price of the hotel, I would have thought the customer service and cleanliness of the room would have been better.

I loved the location. However, the finishings in the unit are either old, broken or worn out. The living room tv is smaller than the bedroom, the couch is stained and not like a modern comfy piece like I’d expect. I know I’ve said all this, but I still did enjoy my stay. I’ve paid less to stay at way better suites in LA County.

My room did not have any working central heat/AC. There were temporary window units set up that were very problematic - not all had the capability for heat, and the outside temperature was cold. Further, because they were temporary units, the blinds would not close all the way because of the duct leading outside the window. Air from the outside was coming in through the partially open window as well as street noise. I brought this up to the front desk clerk, and all she replied was "sorry, we're working on it" - however that was no help to me as it wasn't fixed, nor was I offered another room. For the price I paid, I could have stayed at a cheap motel several times over and at least had working heat. I'm very disappointed with this stay and the lack of customer service I received when raising the issue.

The rooms are the standard Residence Inn / Marriott rooms. The breakfast also is what you expect. The location is close to the highway. The front desk and breakfast staff are friendly and helpful - all of them. What would it take to get a 5 star rating? Better coffee at breakfast.
