Hotel Don Pepe Gran Meliá

Another fantastic stay at this iconic location. The attention to detail & care displayed by the staff is incredible. The poolside team deserve special mention and also a call out to Andrea. It was heartwarming to observe her attend to a difficult situation with tact and assertion. Abel deserves recognition as an ambassador for the company in all respects, Will be back.

This is our 4th visit to this hotel this year. The hotel and staff never dis-appoint us. The grounds and pool are just what you want for a very relaxing break,the gardeners And pool staff keep it immaculately clean. They all work very hard and long hours. I must give a special mention to Raul, Rafa, Albaro and Adrian. Our room had a sea view, as most do with the use of red level. During this break we have met with several returning guests, some returning every year for over 10 years which must say something. The guest services manager, ebel seems to work all day and every day to make sure all the guests Are happy from breakfast until the last guest leaves the pool area. Keep it up abel!!! I could not recommend more, the manager, Noelia, she like abel works very hard to ensure every Guest is more than happy with their stay. It is very unusual to see the hotel manager checking on Guest most days, i am sure she doesn’t need to but it is very reassuring. One more to thank for making Our stay enjoyable is Isabel in red level. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel, we can’t wait until our next visit in September. Keep up the good work Noelia and all your staff.

We are a very regular visitor to the Don Pepe Marbella and have just returned from our most recent visit. Fantastic staff and first class service from everyone including the hotel manager Noelia. Breakfast service, pool guys and red level service outstanding overall a first class experience from all as always. Amazing location and facilities. Thank you Paul. Vicki.

Always a pleasant experience, probably my 6th visit and many staff are familiar with me now. Many long serving staff which is always a good sign. Great location, great outdoor space with easy access to the sea. Hope to be back this year and next.

All in all, I am pretty underwhelmed by the hotel. The restaurants are fine and have a nice view but the rooms are remarkably small and pretty expensive for what they are. I think there are much better options, which represent much better value in Marbella.

Exceptionally good hotel. Staff are very friendly and professional. New Chinese restaurant is a winner. On the paseo but also in a world of it's own. Have been going for 30 years - and hope to go back

Good location, great pool.

Service around the pool was not great. Lack of staff to manage drinks and food around the pool. Other staff were great , very friendly, Isabel was excellent. Check in was very slow

Really cannot understand all the amazing reviews. Breakfast buffet at the red level lounge was poor. Mouldy berries, very limited. Took ages to order the coffees and then when arrived were average at best. Room was nice enough but the bath plug broke after one use. Hotel does not reflect the hefty price tag! Staff seemed more bothered about the rich and famous staying (as shown by instagram and the free ad pr stays ha) Event one night went on until midnight - very loud music and fireworks!!! Again showing more care for the influencer guests than the actual paying guests. Got hassled a few times to sign up to th e melia loyalty scheme. You have to pay for the day beds around the pool (150€) and even to borrow the tennis equipment. Which is a joke considering the cost per night. Got told off one night for taking two drinks up to our room from the red level Lounge. We don’t drink alcohol during the day so what difference did that make when we could see people drinking all day even at breakfast?!! Not impressed and will not be back. Avoid!

Fantastic service. We were booked into another hotel in the chain but it was closed for refurbishment so we were tranferred to Don Pepe - the whole process was seamless, and we were given a room upgrade. Second, I left some belongings in my roomwhen checking out and they could not have been more helpful in finding and returning them 24 hours later. It's those kinds of situations - and processes and services - where it really counts.
