A modern hotel outside the centre of Seville, with good transport links and large pool. Many of the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. I would particularly like to mention Sofia who greeted us every morning for breakfast and showed a real interest in our plans. Breakfast itself was a nice spread. Disappointed no potato option any day - in general didn’t think much of the “hot” food. Lots of different pastry options. Both indoor and outdoor seating which was lovely. Staff constantly clearing plates away quickly. Beautiful pool area with minimal road noise. What was ridiculous was 2 out of the 4 days we used the pool a maintenance man had a leaf blower out cleaning round the back of the pool. The area was completely out of site from hotel guests, so unnecessary in the middle of the afternoon. It wasn’t just a quick 10min clean up, this was a 30min relentless on-off right behind all the sun loungers. There’s no reserving sun lounges - the pool attendant is very hot on only handing out towels to residents with a pool towel card. The pool doesn’t open till 11am. Stays open till 8pm. We loved the large shaded areas at the pool. There were points the pool was unusable (could not swim a length) due to some children being out of control and bombing in the pool. The parents should have taken more responsibility especially after multiple managers spoke to the group. Disappointing nothing was ever resolved. Pool bar had a nice array of drinks and snacks at decent prices. Disappointed with the speed of service at times and the fact they had completely run out of ice creams on Monday. For a 4-star hotel, it’s not the standard you think of. Unfortunately we had to report a problem with our room, maintenance came the same day but the fix didn’t last. I’m not sure if we were just unlucky but this room also seemed fairly tired for a 4star hotel. Thankfully, when we next went to reception, Alvaro, was able to resolve the situation and change our room. There was a noticeable difference in the room and we were happy the rest of our stay. We even received a personal phone call from the experience team a day later asking if we were happy. Hotel location takes a good 35mins by tram to get in to the centre/to attractions. A couple good restaurants around the hotel and large shopping mall. Meliá is a lovely hotel chain. I can’t fault the hard working staff and modern interior.

High quality room. Excellent breakfast. Close to station. Very professional staff.

Bar staff Salvador and Marta were fabulous- had the best Sangria we have had in Spain - they must have their own secret recipe. Also enjoyed a club sandwich as wanted to dine early before all the local restaurants were open - it was perfect
