Travelodge by Wyndham La Grande

The pictures and the reality are quite different. To start, the couch in the lobby is shabby with torn upholstery, the concrete of the walkway along the front of the building that led to my room the badly cracking with missing chunks making it hard for my 65 year old, less able self, to roll my suitcase. The bath tub had big chips in the porcelain, and the carpet badly stained. Traffic nose was also a problem. I will say that the man at the desk was very nice, the linens were clean, and the bed wasn’t uncomfortable.

Basic but clean and comfortable and within expectations for the price.

The hotel is dated for sure. With that said, the place was clean and aside from the shower head needing to be soaked in vinegar and de-calcified, everything was good. Oh, I guess the TV didn't work, but I didn't find that out untill morning when I was about to leave so I never asked for any assistance. Based on others reviews, and my cheap ass budget, I was sold after several people said it was quiet. While being on the main drag of town, it was very quiet at night. Overall I was happy with the value of my stay. Staff was very nice.

Second time we've stayed here...great price, clean rooms, friendly staff, restaurants next door and across the street! Uber is very reliable too!
