Towneplace Suites By Marriott Denver Southwest

This was an extremely poor experience for a Marriott property. Upon check-in the front desk area seemed good. However, once we entered the building where our room was situated, we were greeted with an overwhelming stale cigarette smoke stench. There were bags of trash outside a couple of guest rooms as well dirty linen/towels rolled into a piles on the floor. As we got closer to our room we could smell animal poop. The level of cleanliness was below average.There was a big white stain on the carpet next to the bed and the walls very dirty especially next to the bed. We opened the sofa bed and found a dirty towel rolled up in the mattress. As we left to get dinner, some guests were smoking marijuana with their room door slightly open and the hallway was reeking of marijuana smoke. We spoke with the night manager and he said he would check up on it. We would have checked out immediately but it was late, our kids were tired from travelling all day and just wanted to get something to eat and get into bed. The next morning we spoke with the day manager and he was very nonchalant about it and said that they cannot control whether guests smoke marijuana or cigarettes in guest rooms even though the hotel has a strict no smoking policy. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone, we slept with a chair pushed against the door because we felt so uneasy. Definitely not the standard you would expect from a Marriott hotel.

Love this property. Close to every thing. I hate that Amazon built a warehouse right next door

Great pool. Great breakfast. Clean room.

This is a great place to say because of the close proximity to family. Really, my only complaint is a lack of parking and the open drug use, especially at night around the fire pit. Also, at night people were smoking marijuana in the elevator, not cool!

I thoroughly enjoy going through Marriot/Towneplace Suites each time I travel. Never had a bad experience.

A little off the beaten path, but a quiet and cozy place to stay. Dog friendly with a small dog area for them to do their business.

Cigarette butts all around bench that never got picked up. This was our third time staying here, 6 nights or more, and things overall are not what they used to be.

We arrived late, and the staff was quick to give us our key and check us in in no time. Readily offered extra sheets for the sofa bed that we needed to use. An older facility, but nicely maintained.
