The location, hotel, location, spa area and the most of all Hotel Waldegg staff are impeccable. The rooms and all facilities are clean and tidy (twice daily room service!). The views are breathtaking. We couldn’t recommend this place more. Whether you search for active ski holiday or relaxing trip with leisure and views - this is an excellent choice.

The service was exceptional - from a relaxed glass of champagne on arrival to help putting chains on our car tyres on departure. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated with a stunning view of the mountains and Engelberg. We ate at the Thai restaurant which offers outstanding food and at the European restaurant which has a small but well cooked menu. Breakfast was plentiful with options for high end warm dishes. The infinity pool was amazing with various jets and a separate warmer jacuzzi. The outdoor hot tub and sauna in a cable car cabin felt especially luxurious, surrounded by snow and Christmas lights. The indoor spa (2 saunas, steam room and special showers) is quite small, but during our stay we had it mostly to ourselves. For a romantic and relaxing short stay, it was perfect and we plan to come again!
