HENRI Country House Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Lovely traditional Garmisch hotel. Good staff on reception who guide you well and answer all your questions. Some of the other waiting staff have fallen into the spending lots of time on the phone and not looking up to see you are waiting to be served or helped but other than that this place is a joy to visit and with its own underground car park which is a real bonus

We stayed for 3 nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is walking distance to restaurants and other sights.

Fantastic experience! Walking distance to train and bus. Staff super helpful with arranging activities. Great pool and relaxation areas. Very nice snacks each afternoon.

We checked in at 4 in the afternoon and there was only one person who was from Uzbekistan and spoke very little. There was no restaurant and the corridor to our room after we arrived back from eating out was dark and very hard to navigate. The hightlight of our one night stay were the two girls attending bar the night we stayed. (We left the next morning even though I had reserved 3 nights). I found a really nice hotel elsewhere in town.

I had room with a balcony which was a bonus. Their breakfast was delicious! Rooms were clean. I was very happy staying there. It was very convenient to the train and bud station and within walking distance to all the historical areas I wanted to see. I didn't need a taxi at all! Bonus!

The property gives a very vintage, luxurious feel. Although a bit dated, the property had character and a great view of the mountains in the distance. Breakfast was included, and the area where it was offered was peaceful and quiet.

The people in the reception was really Nice and very helpfull. Absolutly loved our room. We had some problem with the steam baths as they didnt work, only the normal sauna was on.

There was no Air condition in the room. I was unable to sleep because of the hot weather. The room was very small. I do not believe it would be a 4 stars hotel.

This was a nice, well positioned hotel, close to the main Garmisch Partenkirchen station, and the cogwheel station for the Zugspitz. Our room was a good size, including a comfortable seating area, but was very hot, and was occasionally let down by room service (not emptying bin and replenishing the bathroom, etc.). Breakfast was fine, including hot options to order, if required. Pool, sauna and jacuzzi were also nice to have, although the pool was extremely cold to get into

We loved our stay here. Beautiful room and view. The breakfast is fabulous. The pool and spa area is clean and welcoming. The parking garage is underground, locked, and felt safe. Very easy to walk to all things nearby. The only thing to know is that this is an old building with multiple floors and connecting hallways. NOT easily accessible by elevator to the rooms if you have a wheelchair or stroller (took us 2 elevators and we still had to go down a few stairs to get to our room)- totally doable but something to plan for if you have needs so that you can ask for a room closer to the entrance!
