Everglades Hotel

We stayed as we were there for a wedding so for that purpose it met our needs, it was modern and clean. We opted for the breakfast at £12 per head which was very reasonable. There was a good variety for breakfast.

My view is in relation to the reason for our stay - there was a distinct lack of seating available for wedding guests in the reception area for the ballroom. I requested more chairs and two were provided. We had a room facing on to the main road, not an ideal position. We arrived for breakfast at 9.30am, breakfast finished at 10.15, in my experience very early for a weekend morning. When we arrived at 9.30 some of the beverages and food were scarce and it took longer than ideal to be replenished.

Excellent location and very comfortable bed. Lovely atmosphere when entering and clean rooms.

Breakfast was lovely (apart from soda and potato bread which were basically warm not fried) but a little disorganised in that food wasn't kept topped up and we had to wait more than once for more, but it did taste good. Rooms would benefit from a net curtain or blind; our room was right at parking spaces and there was no privacy so the curtains ended up closed while it was daylight. Our biggest issue was the parking on Saturday night. It was very busy but we just got the last space right at the far end which is a bit of a walk, maybe some reserved for residents? When walking back a coach with footballers pulled in and they all got off and went to their parked cars which freed up a lot of spaces. I appreciate it is hard for the hotel to stop this.
