Hall Garth Hotel Darlington, Sure Hotel Collection by BW

The location was great for me, just off the A1. Car parking a real bonus. The staff were very polite and helpful The food was very good.

The classic double I stayed in, was warm, comfortable and large enough for me on my own, had my stay been longer and my partner had joined me it would have been a little cramped. The room was also very dated and needed attention, around the windows and in the bathroom the configeration was a little cramped with the loo facing the bath which left little room for someone who might perhaps be larger in size than myself. Personally I prefer just to have a shower, not to have a bath to step over and into to get a shower. Overall however, I was really happy and would definitely stay there again.

Meals curry in particular great ! Staff excellent.

Breakfast should start earlier. Evening meals - curries great but need to change up the types. It would be good to have a water and biscuit in the superior rooms

Warm Ceasar salad starter, just no. Horrid presentation. Evening bar and dining room was like a school dinner hall, soulless

Very clean. Polite pleasant staff.

Very close to A1 and a short hop upto Durham.

Could do with plug sokets next to bed fro mobile phones, and some soynd proofing.

I’ve stayed before, like the surroundings and the building itself Staff however don’t interact very much

Nothing as it was soo cold inside the hotel come for a lovely cosy night way with my brother and sister in law, to say that we were that cold and couldn’t take our big winter coats off inside was disgraceful, if we hadnt had a drink we were going to drive home.

Hello I’m emailing you regarding our stay last night my husband brother and his wife how really disappointed we all were 1st of all my husband is 73 year old suffering for cheats infections and needs to keep warm but unfortunately the hotel was absolutely freezing cold he now is ill as he’s caught a cold he never got to remove his coat all day and night. My brother has just had a heart attack so we booked a quiet night away for his birthday which he was frozen cold too Myself and his wife also never got to take our coats of either having to sit and move around constantly to keep warm. We decided to go to bed early as it wasn’t the kind of mother’s day we expected. Once getting to my room i thought I’d have a hot bath but BLACK mould all around the baths silicone which was disgusting. This morning we all got up early to leave as it was un healthy for us to stay any longer. Staff on reception never asked if we enjoyed our stay are nothing very ignorant to guests i thought. I hope to have a reply back at what you can do regarding this. We were in room 149 +150 Kind Regards

The exit. Food on the night was lovely. Other guests made it better.

All the updates not very good. not being able to use the spa facilities. not being able to eat between 4-6 not good when can’t check in till 3. corridors stunk like foisting or/and smoking
