"Hotel "

I thought the hotel was too dark, but the staff was super friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and quiet! Large rooms too.

"Five Star???Seriously Debatable!!!"

Well, it is a differently designed (dark with very dim lighting all around) hotel,which only can be understood in the night time when those back lighted posters on ceilings,walls or headboards glow otherwise in its a dark place even in day.The room was all wood floor, use of stainless steel decently in furniture along with wood was nice too. But the hallways and outside the rooms seemed as if they are in a 1 star hotel and not understandable. Although it is differently designed hotel but does not confirm to a Five Star status, but a “slapped” cheap and dark minimalistic design. The staff is super professional, polite and friendly. Room service and presentation is excellent. Location is very close to everything happening.

"Not a 5 Star hotel~"

I went out one day and returned about 9 pm and found that my room has not been cleaned , I asked if the room could be cleaned and was told that there is no cleaner at that time . I was told that the non disturbed sign was on but I had no idea that the light was on. There was a bottle of complimentary water when I checked in and I asked why there wasn’t one for the 2nd day and was told that’s I only get one bottle for the entire of my stay at the hotel regardless how many nights I would stay at the property. I was woken up at 7 am by lots construction noises and I called hotel.com customer service to complain about the noise at the property . Hotel.com contacted the property for me and said the hotel manager would like to speak to me regarding my complain about the noise to see if he can make some sort of compensation to me. When I checked out I asked if the manger wants to talk to me regarding the noise issue I had. I was told to walk to another of their sister hotel to wait there to see if the manager has the time to talk to me. I said I never heard that if I have a prob with a hotel I need to track down their manger and wait fo be seen my him esp in a 5 Star hotel. The receptionist told me that they are not a 5 Star hotel.

"Stylish place with some attitude problems."

After booking The Hotel based on their website, which touts the high designer angle and famous architect, we arrived to be told that because we had booked with a third party we had been ‘upgraded’ to a sister hotel. We were then walked a couple of blocks to a run-of-the-mill, conservative hotel - nice enough, and breakfast thrown in as a sweetener, but NOT the hotel we had booked, and not one we were willing to pay top dollar for. When we complained and traipsed back to where we started, all was made right. But by then the experience was soured, and we felt patronised and unwelcome. An accidental (?) wake-up call at 4.30am then stole away the good night’s sleep that one might expect in a luxury hotel. Not a 5 star experience.

My room was very clean and bright. Lovely king size bed and furnishings. Staff very helpful and friendly. Fun ceiling film icon. Loved the 2 huge windows and the hidden blinds.

"Great location and service "

We came here for our 10 year anniversary and were greeted with rose petals and chocolate hearts on the bed. This was a lovely touch. The room was was very modern with a movie print on the ceiling. The reception staff were very hospitable. The hotel is very close to the station and near some great restaurants.
