Property Notes

The property has reduced services during the Christmas period. From 21st December to Early January the kitchen will be closed but a grab and go breakfast will be available if preordered the night before. Guests paying in cash are required to provide photo identification. Please note, when booking 6 or more rooms, different policies and supplements may apply. The property will contact you with more details after the booking. Guests arriving after 22:00 are required to provide photo identification. Starting from 6 January 2020 full English breakfast price increases to GBP 12.95 if prebooked with rate, otherwise full English breakfast is GBP 14.95. Bar 66 is open daily from 5pm - till late. Dinner is served from Sunday to Thursday between 5pm - 8pm. Please note, on Friday and Saturday the hotel operates a snack only menu, which is available 24 hours. Private parties are still accepted for catering. Should you wish to have dinner for 4 people or more, please kindly inform reception not later than 4pm on the day of arrival. Full English and Continental Buffet breakfast available daily. Breakfast is served 7 days a week: Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 9:00am, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 10:00am. Express Breakfast is available by request if required. Guests paying in cash are required to provide photo identification and a deposit of £75. Guests staying more than 1 night, are required to hang a request card on the door for housekeeping service or inform the reception.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. A deposit may be required at the property.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, but unfortunately our experience at arrival was uncomfortable. When we arrived at reception, there were no staff present. There was only a phone with a note asking guests to call for assistance, but my husband and I are deaf, so this was not accessible for us. There was also no bell or alternative way to get help. We waited at reception for around 15 minutes, but no one came. I then looked around to find a member of staff and went behind a screen, where I encountered a security guard. He appeared panicked and told me to go back to reception and wait. Behind the screen, I realised there were many immigration guests staying at the hotel along with security staff. This situation made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable, and it felt as though our needs as paying guests were not a priority. The lack of accessible communication at reception was particularly disappointing. I hope the hotel can improve staff availability at reception and provide accessible options for deaf guests in the future.
