Lakeside Inn on Lake Dora

Rooms were very comfortable and the history behind the hotel

The food here is so slept on. So delicious! We had our wedding rehearsal here back in 2024 and loved it then and still love it! Great romantic little spot!

The main thing this hotel has going for it is location. You can walk all over downtown Mount Dora which is an absolute gem. The hotel itself is shabby chic, emphasis on shabby. I get it--it's a historic hotel and it's old. Old should not equal disrepair. Came for business and while I did enjoy my stay, it's definitely not set up for business travel. The rooms had very few electrical outlets, several of which did not work. Hauling my luggage up 36 stairs was no fun, either. The rooms have mini-splits that barely keep the room cool and the hallways were sweltering. The carpet looked ancient and pretty dirty. The restaurant was ok though the service was really slow and they were out of several menu items. Staff was pleasant. Glad I tried it out but I am one and done. Back to the Hilton next time.

Loacation

Breakfast. It should be open until 10am, we arrived 9:30 on saturday and they tell us that there were other people waiting and they will close 10am anyway. That is rude and irrespectful for hotel clients. ⁰

Location!

They are still friendly. However, I noticed some management personnel at the restaurant a little rude. Breakfast is only until 10am. We were there 30 minutes before and still they didn't allow us to take the breakfast at the hotel. It is supposed we are on vacations, not in the army. However, this place keep the magic, and again, msat of their personnel are super friendly! We love Mount Dora!

The atmosphere, location and most of the staff

Most of the staff was great. The bartender at the pool bar was not the friendliest.

The location was great. The vibe was great as well.

The room had no TV, fridge, or coffee pot. The toilet was way too small. The hot water was cold and hot during the shower. The pool could have been cleaner.
