Desert Gardens Hotel

Quiet and good size room, comfortable beds. The free laundry facility was a good addition.

There were ceiling cobwebs.

The hotel is really good, providing comfort and facilities I would not have expected in the middle of the desert. The entire resort is like a small town: there's shops, a supermarket, a post office.. Breakfast was also quite nice, a mix of continental and cooked. It's very quiet at night as the "town" is closed and there's no background city noise to interrupt your sleep.

Since most guests come in waves (there's only a few flights a day to the local airport), I would have expected for all reception counters to be open during peak times but this was not the case and check in took some time. Still, it was nothing too bad and I enjoyed my stay overall. The prices are a bit higher than in the cities, but that's to be expected given the remote location.

The hotel room was clean and tidy.

It was expensive, but reasonable compared to other hotels. Would have like to stay more than 1 night. Breakfast was expensive too. Steps to hotel room on 2nd level. Difficult with suitcases.
