Clean, great breakfast

Hotel needs major upgrades. Room was very musty smelling. Beds advertised as a queen they were fulls.

Before checking in I requested a top floor room away from the elevator, I was put right next to the elevator, I came in at 5am and was too tired to care, later loud noises from the highway woke me up three different times, the next day I requested to move, there were no rooms away from the highway and on the top floor, since I was informed that you can hear the room above you, I was not interested in more interruptions by moving a floor lower. So if you are looking for a night of uninterrupted sleep, I would look elsewhere.

Staff was nice. Breakfast was better than average. Lobby was clean.

1st toom, door latch was broken, no sheets ready for the hide a bed. 2nd room was better. Bathroom was a little dirty. Mold on the ceiling, tile was dirty.. the TV volume sucked. Loud or quiet, pick 1.

Excellent service

The hotel was good all around but I really appreciate how the manager Ayanna went above and beyond to help me when we got to the Auto Train station and realized we left something important in the room. Very grateful for the excellent service!

When we first got there, the man working was amazing. He was incredibly helpful, accommodating, sweet. He were there for a funeral, and he asked if we needed late checkout. We didn’t think so, so we said no thank you. The next morning, we realized we may need a little extra time. We came downstairs to find an older couple leaving with their bags. The woman working said to them “you know you guys can get late checkout and not leave til one, right? You don’t have to leave now!” They said that’s ok we are headed out. And it was our turn. We explained we were offered late check out last night and now realized we may need it and she said “sorry, nope. Too late now” very rudely. After we just heard her telling the couple leaving that they don’t have to if they don’t want to. Then my parents asked her for an extra chair for their room for medical reasons and she rudely snapped “WHAT FOR” which is not right at all. If the other man worked the whole time we would have had a pleasant stay. But I’m not sure why that woman felt the need to be nasty and treat us like we weren’t important enough.
