"Comfortable stay in Northfield "

This was the last hotel in a 3-week trip from Boston to Minnesota, and aside from our hotel in New York, it was the cleanest we stayed in. Aside from a loose toilet seat and broken bathroom lock, the facility's upkeep was excellent.

"The Big Splash"

The pool was large enough that when several families are there, it didn't feel too crowded. breakfast was good, enjoyed the selection of hot and cold items. The only down side was the bathroom in our room didn't have a light over or near the shower. The only light came from over the sink, adjacent to the shower wall, so the shower itself was a bit dark. The staff was quite helpful. Would consider staying again when we're in the area

Staff was excellent. However, wheel accessible bathrooms should not be assigned to guests who do not need them. They should be held for people who need them, even if this means a vacant room for the night.

we booked the room because the site said the hotel was pet friendly. when we got there, they told us only certain rooms were pet friendly. When we booked it through Expedia, Expedia did not give us a choice to select pet friendly, so we assumed the hotel was pet friendly for the whole hotel, not just specific rooms. They would not refund us and would not let us stay there. We booked a different hotel in the area that said pet friendly, and we confirmed the whole hotel is pet friendly, not just specific rooms. They said if a hotel says pet friendly, the whole hotel is pet friendly. Apparently not AmericInn by Wyndham Northfield. Expedia is at fault too for not including an option for pet friendly room at this hotel. Expedia tried to get me a refund, but the clerk would not hear of it.

Dirty room, bugs in bathroom, just generally a poor experience. Had it not been 11:30 pm when I arrived I would have left.
