Econo Lodge Tupelo Barnes Crossing

I wish like hell I would have taken some pictures. This place should be ashamed to even offer these rooms for rent. First off the man at counter was decently nice enough and his wife. But when I tell you this place needs to be condemned! Baby! The adjoining room obviously was tweaking out of their mind they had the door wide open staring us down as we made our way to this crack den. The baseboards, walls, linens, and doors were dingy and stained. The bathroom door looked as if someone took a machete to it several times the door knob to the bathroom just flips round and round. The bathroom counter was sagging down a good 6 inches in the front where it was broken loose from wall. I bet the room was 90 degrees inside when we got there. It finally cooled off middle of the night but I was too damn scared to look under the covers or to use them to try to stay warm. I wouldn’t put a homeless man up in this place. It was without a doubt the absolute worst place I’ve ever been under the roof of in my entire life. Would definitely not recommend for anyone with any half way decency about themselves. It was pure awful. If I ever needed a place to go and feel dirty just by walking in the room this would definitely be the place.

This hotel was very dirty and made the stay uncomfortable. There were no extra pillows or blankets and very few towels. There was mold growing on the ceiling of the bathroom.

Room needed better cleaning. I suggest you bring your own cleaning supplies, towels, sheets, iron and ironing board😢. Please bring soap and shampoo bc their samples are the smallest I have ever witnessed. The good part is that it is a great location.

Shower/tub was a disgrace. It had Flextape on the floor; I’m convinced the downstairs room took a shower with me. Not to mention having to sleep “on edge” because the smoke detector had been removed with wires hanging out of wall. Also there was mold on shower curtain. Mabe I shouldn’t expect that much for $120 a night.

I loved the stay at Tupelo. The staff was nice and the room was great.. i wanted to extend the visit but unfortunately the next day was a weekend so the rate went up... i decided to keep moving...west..

Worst Econolodge I have ever stayed in. There were no towels in the room. Had to ask for toilet paper. No ice bucket and the clerk wanted to give us one without a liner. No lid for the ice container. Hair in the bathtub and the walls were so thin I could hear my neighbor sneeze. I am also including a picture of the smoke detector. It appears my safety is not important.

A situation with drugs happened right in front of me and my family while I was trying to check in. Multiple cops came to the scene. Our room smelled like smoke despite it being non-smoking. Hair was all over the sheets on both beds along with what looked like mildew stains on them. The room itself was not clean. We walked right back out. We ended up getting a full refund from Expedia after explaining what all happened.

The room was absolutely in dire need of a deep clean.

When I went to my room the door was open. The bed was not made as the blankets we’re laying on the suitcase holder. I called and they gave me the sheets for the bed that were the wrong size. I made the bed the best I could and stayed. The security lock was also missing off the door.
