Vista do Lago Jungle Lodge

Everything about our experience with Vista do Lago was quaint, charming, relaxed and convenient. We were contacted ahead of our visit to schedule pickup from the airport, accommodate dietary restrictions, and arrange activities for the duration of our stay. Our flight arrived in late, and as a silver lining of this, we were treated to a star-lit boat ride to the lodge on the first night. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great AC. The staff were polite and helpful, and our provided English speaking guide helped with everything we might need. The activities to be had around the lodge were nothing too incredible, but super laid back, including swimming with pink dolphins, jungle hiking, and sunset viewing. Everything, including one activity per day, was included in the reservation. The food provided was all Amazonian or Brazilian and tasted amazing! This lodge proved to us that the Amazon is not as intimidating as you might think. If you are looking for a relaxing and informative time not far from the airport, this is your place!

What a fantastic time we had staying at the lodge. We hired a brilliant English speaking guide and a boat pilot for the week through the lodge (additional to the accommodation costs) and they organised an itinerary to tour the local area and beyond. The food was great and varied (beef/chicken/pork/fish etc), including local fish that we caught in the day. It was amazing to live in the riverside community if only for a week, and we hope to come back in the wet season when the water is higher and the landscape has changed.

Nothing, everything was great - but remember it is the Amazon - if you cannot handle some bugs in the pool or ants in the shower then this property may not be for you!

We had the best time at Vista do Lago Jungle Lodge. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and treated us like we were part of the village / family. The meals were excellent. The activities were well planned, interesting, diverse, and the pacing of the schedule was perfect for our family (which includes three small kids ages 6 and under, including one who naps midday). Our English-speaking tour guide was fantastic and spent more time with us than we ever expected. The lodge is also located in a village that has a number of great sustainability and development projects, so you get to live a bit of the quiet village life while also soaking up all the energy and passion of a community that is creating their own positive impact. Would highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Vista do Lago Jungle Lodge! From the start, the friendly staff made our visit fun and comfortable. We really appreciated the coordinated transport from Manaus and, later, back to the airport. The hospitality was great, and the food was delicious. The excursions were awesome. We tried a bunch of them, and each one was a new adventure. Kennedy, our English-speaking guide, was full of fun stories and a wealth of information about the plants, animals, and local culture. We learned so much from him, and he made sure we had a great time. It was a great way to explore and get to know the Amazon!

It was wonderful and some of the best experiences ever. The staff was superb, the food was outstanding, and the activities were amazing. Definitely a place to go to experience the Amazon. Ella made our experience so comfortable as her English was excellent and she made sure our needs were met.

Lovely owner and staff! Very nice Lodge, awesome rooms. Can recommend all of the tours. Private tours at reasonable pricing. Food is delicious!

We were there in dry season and the people from the lodge did a very good job. We had a very good experience with the activities and the good service. The local food was great and rich in variety. Everything was really clean and tidy.
